On the morning of October 22, at the Martyrs' Cemetery of Quang Tri Ward, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri Province solemnly held a memorial service and burial of 34 martyrs' remains that were searched for and gathered in Quang Tri.

From September 14 to October 16, after receiving reports from the construction unit renovating and embellishing items at the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel National Special Relic Site and some relics in Quang Tri ward, the Martyr Remains Collection Team 584 of the Quang Tri Provincial Military Command coordinated with local authorities, agencies and departments to overcome difficulties, organize the search and collection of 34 martyrs' remains.

Of these, 32 martyrs' remains were found at Quang Tri Citadel and 2 martyrs' remains at Bo De School relic site. During the collection process, Team 584 also found many valuable relics of the soldiers such as infantry shovels, helmets, belts, AK ammunition boxes...
In the sacred land of heroic Quang Tri, in a sacred and respectful atmosphere, delegates offered flowers, incense, and observed a moment of silence to remember and pay tribute to 34 outstanding sons of the Fatherland who heroically fought and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland and the happiness of the people.
The blood and bones of the heroic martyrs have merged into every inch of land, so that Quang Tri Citadel will forever be an immortal symbol of Vietnamese revolutionary heroism. The heroic sacrifices of the heroic martyrs have colored the glorious flag of the Fatherland, won independence, and brought a prosperous and happy life to the people.




After the memorial service, the remains of 34 martyrs were buried at the Quang Tri Ward Martyrs Cemetery.
