Vinh Long weather in the next 24 hours: Afternoon and night moderate rain and thunderstorms, heavy rain in some places

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, early on the morning of October 23, after entering the coastal waters of Hue City - Da Nang, the weakened tropical depression (weakened from storm No. 12) weakened into a low pressure area.

At 7:00 a.m., the center of the low pressure area was at about 16.1 degrees North latitude; 108.5 degrees East longitude. The strongest wind in the center of the low pressure area decreased to below level 6 (below 39 km/h). It is forecasted that in the next 12 hours, the low pressure area will continue to move mainly in the southwest direction, weakening and gradually dissipating.

Due to the influence of the cold air strengthening combined with the East wind disturbance and post-storm circulation, the situation of heavy rain in the Central region and strong winds at sea is still complicated. It is necessary to pay attention to the next forecast bulletins of heavy rain and strong winds at sea.

The weather forecast for Vinh Long province over the next 24 hours is cloudy, with occasional clearing during the day, intermittent sunshine, and widespread rain throughout the province in the afternoon and evening, with moderate to heavy rain in some areas. Moderate to heavy rain will mainly concentrate in the following locations: Cai Von, Tra On, Tra Vinh , Thanh Phu, Huong My, Ba Tri, Giong Trom, and Tien Thuy. Northeast winds will be at level 2.

The sea in the next 24 hours will have changing clouds, scattered showers and thunderstorms concentrated in the late afternoon and evening. Northeast wind level 3-4, waves 0.5-1.5m high. Sea is normal.

All vessels operating in the waters off Vinh Long province are at risk of being affected by tornadoes, strong gusts of wind, and large waves during thunderstorms. Vessels at sea should constantly monitor and update the location and path of the tropical depression to determine the appropriate course of action and find safe shelter.
