Iron bridge across Gam River in Na Hang commune opens to traffic

On the morning of December 10th, after a temporary suspension of operations due to damage caused by natural disasters, the iron bridge over the Gâm River connecting Hamlet 4 and Hamlet 6 in Nà Hang commune was officially reopened to traffic, ensuring safety for people and vehicles crossing it.

Previously, due to the impact of storm No. 10 (Bualoi) causing heavy rain, the Gam River water rose and flowed rapidly, damaging some structural items of the bridge, potentially posing a safety risk. To ensure the lives and property of the people, the local authorities had put up warning signs and temporarily suspended traffic on the bridge since the end of September. Immediately after the water receded, the functional forces and local authorities urgently inspected the current situation, mobilized human resources and materials to repair and reinforce the damaged items. After the repair process, the bridge has now ensured technical and safety conditions to be put back into use.

However, to ensure safety while continuing to monitor and evaluate the quality of the project, the authorities only allow pedestrians, bicycles and motorbikes to cross the bridge; cars are temporarily not allowed to circulate. Local authorities advise people to strictly comply with regulations when crossing the bridge.
