Memorial service and burial of 14 martyrs' remains

On October 8, at the Martyrs' Cemetery of Khe Sanh Commune (Quang Tri Province), the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khe Sanh Commune held a memorial service and burial ceremony for 14 martyrs' remains.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Le Duc Tien, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province; representatives of the leaders and commanders of the Provincial Military Command, Economic - Defense Group 337 (Military Region 4), leaders of Khe Sanh commune and a large number of officers, soldiers of the armed forces and people in the area.

At the ceremony, in a solemn atmosphere, delegates respectfully bowed, offered incense, flowers, and observed a moment of silence to express their infinite gratitude to the heroic martyrs - the outstanding children who bravely fought and sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, national reunification, for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland and the happiness of the people.

In the eulogy commemorating the heroic martyrs, the Party Committee, government and people of Khe Sanh commune vowed to unite, strive, compete, and join hands to build the homeland and country to become more and more prosperous, civilized, and worthy of the noble sacrifices of the heroic martyrs.

According to the functional unit, the 14 martyrs' remains were searched and collected by the Martyrs' Remains Collection Team of Economic - Defense Group 337 in Xa Re village, Khe Sanh commune, Quang Tri province from August 13 to the end of September 2025. The martyrs' remains were found at a depth of about 1m, wrapped in martyrs' bags and had relics such as parachute fabric, parachute cord, buttons, glass tubes, pens, communication cords, AK bullet shells...

After the ceremony, the remains of 14 martyrs were buried by the local Party Committee, government and armed forces at the Martyrs' Cemetery of Khe Sanh commune, Quang Tri province.
