Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee of An Giang Province Le Trung Ho and Mr. Khiev Rithiphorn, Deputy Governor, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee of Kampot Province signed the memorandum of cooperation.
In the dry season of 2024 - 2025, with the support, assistance and facilitation of the Task Force, armed forces and people of Kampot province, Team K92 of the Military Command of An Giang province searched for, collected and brought the remains of 10 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died during the war in Cambodia in Kampot province back to Vietnam for burial. Up to now, Team K92 has searched for and collected 1,701 martyrs' remains in Kampot province.

At the signing ceremony, the two sides highly appreciated the coordination in implementing the Agreements and Agreements between the Government of Vietnam and the Royal Government of Cambodia, and the cooperation documents between An Giang and Kampot provinces on cooperation in searching, collecting, and repatriating the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died during the war in Cambodia in Kampot province, which have achieved many results, contributing to sharing the pain and loss of the martyrs' families.
Authorized by the Government of Vietnam's Task Force, the Political Commissar of the An Giang Provincial Military Command presented funding to support the Kampot Provincial Task Force.
The two sides agreed: Kampot Provincial Task Force continues to direct the armed forces, relevant agencies and relevant localities to strengthen propaganda work to the authorities at all levels and the people of Kampot province to thoroughly grasp the spirit of the Agreement between the Government of Vietnam and the Royal Government of Cambodia, comprehensive cooperation documents in general, cooperation in searching, collecting and repatriating martyrs' remains in particular signed by the leaders and Task Force of the two provinces of An Giang - Kampot.
Political Commissar of An Giang Provincial Military Command Huynh Van Khoi presented gifts to the armed forces of Kampot province.
Representatives of the Department of Home Affairs of An Giang province presented gifts to the Department of Social Affairs, Veterans and Rehabilitation of Kampot province.
Representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs of An Giang province presented gifts to the Office of Kampot Provincial City Hall.
Kampot Provincial Task Force mobilized officials and people to actively support and inform about the graves and remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who sacrificed their lives during the war in Cambodia in Kampot province, organized forces to guide, protect and create all favorable conditions for Team K92 to carry out its mission in absolute safety, achieving the best results in Kampot province.
Team K92 proactively coordinated closely with relevant forces, authorities at all levels and people of Kampot province to search, collect and repatriate martyrs' remains in Kampot province to achieve the best results.
The two sides agreed that after the 2025-2026 dry season, the Task Force of An Giang - Kampot provinces will meet to discuss and evaluate the results achieved and propose further implementation directions.
