Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan expressed his pleasure to attend the event and meet Chairman of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Vi Thao, and emphasized the important significance of the signing ceremony in opening a new step of development in cooperation between Thai Nguyen and Chinese enterprises and localities.
The Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee said that after the merger, the province has an area of over 8,300 square kilometers, a population of nearly 1.8 million people, and is the largest industrial - educational - medical center in the midlands and mountainous areas of the North. The province's GRDP has been among the top in the country for many years, with increasingly complete transport, industrial, logistics and urban infrastructure. At the same time, it is a leading locality in administrative reform, digital transformation and improving provincial competitiveness.
Currently, Thai Nguyen has 98 projects of Chinese enterprises with a total capital of about 2 billion USD, ranking second among foreign investors in the province. The province is expanding its industrial land fund to 11,800 hectares and completing the infrastructure of industrial parks and clusters to welcome large-scale projects.
The Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee affirmed the viewpoint that "the success of enterprises is the success of the province", committed to creating a transparent and stable investment environment, accompanying and providing maximum support for the smooth implementation of the China-Vietnam Electronic Information Industrial Park project in Phu Binh. He hoped that the two sides would expand cooperation in high-tech industry, digital transformation, human resource training, cultural and tourism exchanges, and develop the Thai Nguyen - Guangxi relationship more and more practically and effectively.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Vi Thao highly appreciated the efforts to promote investment cooperation of the parties, considering the signing ceremony as a testament to the vision of long-term and substantive cooperation between localities and enterprises of Vietnam and China. Mr. Vi Thao emphasized that Guangxi always considers Vietnamese localities as important partners in the strategy of opening up and foreign economic cooperation, and at the same time wishes to promote deeper cooperation in the fields of high-tech industry, logistics, trade economy, digital transformation and human resource training.
The Chairman of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region put forward three key cooperation proposals. First, strengthen industrial development and industry chains, especially in the electronics and information sector. After the strategic cooperation agreement between the China Electronics Industry Development Corporation (Guangxi) and the Kinh Bac Urban Development Corporation - JSC, the China-Vietnam Information and Electronics Industrial Park project in Phu Binh is being implemented smoothly, expected to start construction on December 19, and hopes that Thai Nguyen will continue to support the formation of a cross-border industrial chain. Second, promote cooperation in digital transformation and artificial intelligence, in line with Vietnam's digital economic development needs and China's AI program, and initially coordinate to build the China-Vietnam Artificial Intelligence Application Cooperation Center. Third, strengthen friendly exchanges, culture - tourism and people-to-people exchanges, considering this an important foundation to promote in-depth and effective cooperation.
The Chairman of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region affirmed that he will create favorable conditions for Chinese enterprises to survey and invest in Vietnam, especially in Thai Nguyen - a locality with a dynamic investment environment and a developed industrial ecosystem.
