Quang Ngai fishing boat was damaged and at risk of sinking while avoiding storm number 12.

On the morning of October 23, the Border Guard of Quang Ngai province said that a local fishing boat was having a serious problem and was at risk of sinking while trying to avoid storm No. 12.

Specifically, fishing boat QNg-90704TS, 750CV capacity, 22m long, owned by Ms. Dang Thi Nhung (Binh Son commune), captained by Mr. Dang Cong Nhat, departed on October 11 from Binh Thanh Border Control Station, to carry out logistics fishing in Hoang Sa waters.

At 3:42 a.m. on October 23, while moving south to avoid the storm, the ship suddenly took on water and was at risk of sinking about 44 nautical miles east of Quy Nhon seaport.

Currently, fishing boat QNg-90711TS, owned and captained by fisherman Pham Duy Luan (same locality), is approaching the scene to assist in troubleshooting.

The captain of the ship in distress contacted the Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center Region II to request assistance in rescue and towing. The Binh Thanh Border Guard Station is maintaining regular contact with the ship and calling on nearby vehicles to provide emergency assistance.
