Quang Tri: A 3m deep sinkhole appeared in a resident's garden

On October 23, the People's Committee of Cam Lo commune (Quang Tri province) announced that an unusual sinkhole had just appeared in the garden of Mr. Nguyen Van Lien's house in My Tuong village, about 15 meters from his house.

The sinkhole is circular, more than 1 meter wide, about 3 meters deep, with water underneath. Around the subsidence area, there are many places with signs of cracks, with the potential risk of further subsidence, making people worried.

A circular sinkhole, more than 1 meter wide and about 3 meters deep, is located in Mr. Nguyen Van Lien's garden in My Tuong village, Cam Lo commune, Quang Tri province.

Faced with the above situation, Cam Lo Commune People's Committee directed functional forces to put up warning signs, barricade dangerous areas and report to functional agencies to promptly inspect, assess the cause, and have appropriate handling directions.
