- On the afternoon of December 8, the working delegation of the Provincial People's Committee led by Mr. Nguyen Canh Toan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, surveyed and examined the current status of the road to Lan Nong residential area, Loi village, Cai Kinh commune.

The working delegation included leaders of relevant departments, branches and units.

Lan Nong residential area, Loi village, Cai Kinh commune consists of 13 households (including 11 poor households, 2 near-poor households) with 63 people. Average income per capita is 25 million VND/person/year.

Lan Nong possesses outstanding tourism potential as it is located in the core area of Lang Son UNESCO Global Geopark, can connect with many relics and scenic spots in the area, and has the advantage of growing over 830 hectares of specialty custard apple. Realizing this potential, since July 2025, Cai Kinh Commune People's Committee has coordinated with relevant units to conduct surveys and orient to build Lan Nong into a zero-carbon tourism village associated with trekking tourism, cave exploration and clean agriculture .

However, currently, Lan Nong residential area is facing great challenges due to the lack of essential infrastructure such as electricity, water, roads and telephone signals, causing serious difficulties for people's lives and production.

On August 15, 2025, the Commune People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 229 proposing the province to invest in a road from Lang Hao village, Van Linh commune to Lan Nong residential area, Cai Kinh commune with a length of about 3 km . The total estimated cost is about 10 billion VND.
During the inspection, representatives of a number of departments, branches, Cai Kinh Commune People's Committee and related units focused on discussing and clarifying a number of related contents such as: agreement on estimated budget, social mobilization plans; land donation and site clearance work; solutions to deploy power grid systems, telecommunications networks and a number of other necessary items.
Visiting the living conditions of the households, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: With 13 households and 63 people all being poor households, early investment in essential infrastructure will create conditions for people to develop the economy and improve their lives.
He suggested that the Department of Science and Technology and Viettel Lang Son pay attention to mobile coverage for the village; Lang Son Electricity Company advise on investment plans so that people can soon have electricity; Cai Kinh commune Party Committee and government should research, survey, and have appropriate development orientations, taking advantage of agricultural and tourism development to open a sustainable way out of poverty for the people.
At the survey, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented gifts to support 13 households in Lan Nong village.
