On the morning of May 28, Bac Giang held a conference to promote the consumption of lychee, key agricultural products, and OCOP products.

It is known that this year, the whole province has 29,700 hectares of lychee. The area of ​​lychee produced according to VietGAP standards is 16,000 hectares, Global GAP is 204 hectares, organic is 10 hectares. Early lychee is expected to be harvested from May 20 to June 15, 2025; main crop lychee is harvested from June 10 to July 30, 2025.

In preparation for the promotion conference, the Provincial People's Committee has issued a master plan, assigning specific tasks to each agency, unit, and locality. The sectors, localities, and units have carefully prepared the conditions.

Up to now, relevant agencies, the People's Committees of Chu town, Luc Ngan district, Tan Yen district have inspected the lychee production situation of gardeners, guided people to strictly implement safe production processes; prepared well the conditions to introduce products as well as welcome visitors.

Districts, towns and cities have directed the preparation of key, typical and OCOP products to be displayed at the conference. Localities have selected lychee gardens that meet standards to serve the display, promotion and introduction to delegates and guests after the conference.

It is known that at the conference, there will be booths displaying publications and documents introducing the province's socio -economic development achievements; potentials, advantages, and investment promotion of the province; booths displaying publications and documents introducing famous landscapes, cultural and spiritual tourist destinations and typical items promoting the province's cultural development history. At the same time, 13 booths will be arranged to display key products, typical products, OCOP products of districts, towns, cities and enterprises.

Concluding the working session, comrade Phan The Tuan emphasized that the conference to promote lychee and key agricultural products, typical products, and OCOP products of the province in 2025 is an important conference, so relevant sectors and localities need to prepare carefully according to the scenario.

He requested that relevant agencies, sectors and localities further promote the dissemination of production, purchase and consumption of lychees in the direction of expanding the domestic consumption market, gradually doing well in export activities to increase the value of lychees. The provincial police carefully develop plans to ensure security, order and safety for tourist groups, especially international visitors.

The conference to promote the consumption of lychee and key agricultural products, typical products, and OCOP products of the province in 2025 was held not only to promote the consumption of lychee but also as an opportunity to promote the image of the land and people of Bac Giang .
