Along with Ha Long Bay, Quang Ninh also pays great attention to preserving cultural, religious and spiritual heritages in the area. In particular, Yen Tu relic and scenic spot is identified as a relic of special value. The fact that Yen Tu is one of the honored places chosen to carry out the procession and worship Buddha's relics is a testament to Quang Ninh's efforts. At the same time, to further promote the value of this relic, Quang Ninh and Hai Duong and Bac Giang provinces have coordinated to complete the dossier "The Complex of Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac relics and scenic spots" to submit to UNESCO for recognition as a World Heritage Site.
The Provincial Party Secretary also hopes that in the coming time, the World Heritage Center will continue to accompany and support Quang Ninh in the work of preserving and promoting the values of heritages in the province.
Mr. Lazare Eloundou Assomo, Director of the World Heritage Center, highly appreciated the cooperation of Vietnam as well as the provinces of Quang Ninh, Bac Giang, Hai Duong with the World Heritage Center and UNESCO organizations in preserving the heritage. At the same time, he affirmed that through meetings with leaders, the working delegation of the World Heritage Center was provided with very important information about the value of Yen Tu. The dossier "The Complex of Monuments and Landscapes of Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac" was also elaborately built with the participation of the world's leading experts in this field. Therefore, the recognition of this complex as a World Heritage Site at the upcoming UNESCO meeting is very promising.
