Widespread and prolonged heavy rains in a short period of time have caused deep flooding in some areas of the province. We are closely monitoring the developments of the floods, especially the water levels in dams and major rivers to provide timely instructions. The top priority now is to ensure the safety of people's lives, especially in low-lying areas at risk of landslides. We have asked localities to urgently review and make initial statistics on damage to rice, crops, livestock and poultry to have timely support plans for people, and at the same time prepare response plans in case of worsening weather conditions. In addition, it is necessary to step up propaganda work and raise people's awareness of proactively preventing natural disasters.
