Empowering startups to shine at SURF 2025

ĐNO - The 10 excellent teams that have made it to the final round of the Danang Innovation and Startup Competition - SURF 2025 are entering the intensive training phase. This activity is to support the projects in perfecting their business models and improving their skills to prepare for the competition on July 29.

According to the Danang Center for Supporting Innovative Startups, the Danang City Innovative Startup Competition - SURF 2025 attracted the participation of 31 projects from many provinces, cities and countries, such as: Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi , Nghe An, Quang Tri, Da Nang...

Projects span a wide range of areas including: information technology, artificial intelligence, environment, education , energy, fintech, blockchain and tourism.

Of which, 10 typical projects entered the final round including: eTelecom; Rally AI; EARTEM; NFC Connect; Enfue; LocalLife.Asia; Coffee Market; TikTour.vn; AIVOS; LotusEase - Semi-automatic fresh lotus seed shelling machine.

After the qualifying round, the teams participated in the Pitching training program organized by the Danang Center for Supporting Innovative Startups in collaboration with the Danang Business Incubator (DNES).

Here, startups are "hand-held" by experienced experts and consultants on how to present their business models, perfect financial plans, write projects, build growth roadmaps, effectively raise capital, and improve their ability to present to judges.

According to Mr. Pham Ngoc Sinh, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang City, SURF is an annual event that symbolizes the innovative startup ecosystem in Da Nang.

Each event is not only a networking festival, but also a launching pad for startup ideas and projects from Da Nang and many other localities in and outside the country.

The highlight of this year’s competition is the presence of in-depth projects that strongly apply advanced technology, especially artificial intelligence (AI) in the product development process. Thereby, creating motivation to promote startups to develop in the era of digital transformation and strong innovation like today.

In order to support the teams to develop comprehensively, Da Nang has always organized training sessions and coaching on capital raising skills before each round. Thereby, startups are equipped with basic knowledge of building business models, financial management, as well as practicing confidence and courage when presenting to investors.

In the future, Da Nang will organize forums and innovative startup events of national and international scale. Not only to spread the spirit of innovation, these events are also a bridge to help Da Nang startups reach out to the region and the world.
