The event was organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City in coordination with the Vietnam Television Center for the Central Highlands (VTV8) and Da Nang Newspaper and Radio and Television (DNRT) to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People's Committee, said that the boat racing is not only a simple sporting activity but also a festival for the city's people, an opportunity for us to immerse ourselves in the vibrant atmosphere, cheer on the sports spirit and express our pride in our heroic, civilized and modern homeland of Da Nang, entering a new era with a new look: New Da Nang City - New space - New development momentum.

With the largest scale ever, the tournament attracted 26 racing teams with 520 athletes from communes and wards in Da Nang City. In which, the men's boat team competed in 5 double laps, equivalent to 7.5km; the women's boat team competed in 3 double laps, equivalent to 4.5km.
From early morning, thousands of locals and tourists flocked to both sides of the Han River, jostling on the bridges to cheer on the racing teams. Despite the hot weather, many people carried umbrellas, national flags... cheering with all their might for the racing teams.


At the end of the race, Hoa Cuong team won first place in the women's rowing event; first place in the men's rowing event belonged to Cam Chanh - Hoa Xuan team.
