Tuan Hai reveals the story of 'crying baby' at the 2025 National U9 Football Tournament

TPO - On the morning of April 23, at the press conference announcing the Toyota Cup 2025 National U9 Football Tournament, Hanoi FC star Pham Tuan Hai shared interesting things to inspire the passion of the U9 players participating in the tournament.

The National U9 Football Tournament is a tournament for the youngest age group in the national competition system organized by the Young Pioneer and Children Newspapers and the Vietnam Football Federation, with the desire to find and nurture talents, contributing to the development of youth training for the country's football.

First held in 2021, over the past 4 years, the tournament has grown steadily and received the attention and love of fans as well as young players across the country. The Toyota Cup 2025 National U9 Football Tournament has up to 30 U9 teams registered to participate, including notable names such as Hanoi Football Club, CAHN, PVF - CAND, HYS Hanoi, Tuyen Quang, Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Bac Ninh, Thai Binh , Hai Phong...

The tournament will take place in Tay Ninh from August 9 to 26 with a rich prize system. Collective prizes include Cups, flags, medals (Gold, Silver, Bronze) and cash prizes awarded to the First, Second, Third and Style teams, in addition to individual prizes such as Top Scorer, Best Goalkeeper, Best Player and Most Voted Player.

Present at the press conference with national team captain Do Duy Manh, striker Pham Tuan Hai shared his emotional thoughts. He said: "Like the children sitting here, when I was 9 years old, I also cried because I missed home after 2 days of training. However, that was the first and last time I cried.

When I was at this age, I was often punished by my teachers. After that lesson, I focused more on football. I think the most important thing for a player is professional ethics, before focusing on expertise. I hope that the players sitting here will always try, maintain their passion to contribute to Vietnamese football in the future."
