The conference focused on four major contents: Youth Union and youth movement program for the last 6 months of 2025; project to merge the Vietnam Youth Union of Lam Dong province; project to establish Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team of Lam Dong province and plan to organize Youth Union Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term.
Accordingly, the working program for the last 6 months of 2025 has the theme: "Lam Dong youth are proud and have firm faith in the Party". The content aims to concretize the Resolution of the 12th National Youth Union Congress, focusing on educating ideals, ethics, lifestyle, and arousing the desire to contribute in youth union members.
The Provincial Youth Union aims to recruit 29,000 new members, introduce 7,467 outstanding members to the Party; organize more than 310,000 volunteer activities; plant and care for 1,087,500 trees; provide career counseling to 91,100 young people, and introduce jobs to 12,800 young people. At the same time, strive to establish at least 17 new Youth Union - Association organizations in non-state enterprises, support 561 innovative ideas, and develop 20,000 members in the old Binh Thuan province.
The proposed major groups of solutions include: Strengthening propaganda, political, ethical and legal education; developing volunteer and creative movements; accompanying young people in their studies, careers and spiritual lives; consolidating the Youth Union - Association - Team organization, comprehensive digital transformation; expanding the solidarity front, improving the quality of Association organizations; participating in Party building, social criticism and training young cadres.
A notable highlight is the Project to merge the Vietnam Youth Union organizations of the three old provinces. The new organization will keep the name of the Vietnam Youth Union of Lam Dong province. At the same time, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee also submitted a project to establish the new Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Team of Lam Dong province, merging the Team organizations of the three provinces of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan, and Dak Nong.
To prepare for the new term, the Provincial Youth Union has also developed a plan to organize Youth Union Congresses at all levels, towards the 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Lam Dong province, term 2025 - 2030.
At the conference, many delegates reflected on the current situation of the grassroots Youth Union Secretary concurrently holding the position of Deputy Secretary, taking on many tasks, leading to pressure and difficulties in implementing work. Completing congress documents in merged units also encountered obstacles due to differences in development conditions and data between localities.
Summer activities are still not organized in a uniform manner, especially in remote areas, lacking support staff, while gathering youth and union members is increasingly difficult due to the trend of labor migration and changes in living habits. Some units have not yet completed their grassroots union branches after the merger, affecting regular activities.
Personnel work poses many challenges, especially in newly established units, lacking succession planning and timely guidance. Delegates also proposed to soon issue a set of criteria for evaluating the work of the Youth Union in schools, taking into account the characteristics of each locality, avoiding mechanical and leveling between regions.
Many opinions suggest that it is necessary to shape action programs with the unique identity of Lam Dong province after the merger, instead of just combining models from the three old provinces. The role of universities and colleges in the work of the Youth Union also needs to be clarified, increasing coordination between the school Youth Union and specialized units. Many Youth Union officials proposed to pay more attention to benefits, regimes, and policies, especially at the grassroots level.
Representatives of the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee answered questions, clarified directions and received opinions to complete the action program in the coming time.
Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Head of the Propaganda and Social Work Department Bon Yo Soan suggested focusing on implementing tasks in the last months of the year in a practical manner, suitable to the characteristics of each locality after the merger, contributing to improving organizational efficiency and creating consensus throughout the system.
He emphasized that the Youth Union should consider this a major shift in organization and thinking, proactively undertaking specific and practical projects and tasks, thereby affirming the role and mark of youth in important political events of the province.
In his concluding remarks at the conference, comrade Truong Minh Quang, member of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province, Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Youth Union acknowledged and accepted all comments and suggestions of the delegates.
At the same time, it affirmed that this is an important basis for the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee to complete the work program, unify the direction and synchronous implementation throughout the province in the coming time.
He emphasized that in the new development stage, each Youth Union cadre needs to maintain his/her bravery, proactively adapt, join hands to build a strong Youth Union organization, spread the spirit of responsibility and aspiration to contribute throughout the province.
