On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024), Quang Ngai youth have had many practical activities towards heroic Dien Bien - the place that made the victory "famous in five continents, shaking the earth", actively contributing to the great victory of our nation's resistance war against French colonialism.
Proud of revolutionary tradition
One of the outstanding activities of Quang Ngai youth is the 2024 Dien Bien Young Soldiers Festival in Quang Ngai province, organized by the Provincial Youth Union in Tinh Son commune (Son Tinh). Union members, youth (YVTN) and children in the province listened to comrade Trinh Phu Nguyen, representative of the Provincial Veterans Association, share and review the Dien Bien Phu Victory - one of the great historical events of our army and people.
Huynh Le Thao Nguyen, a 7K student at Tran Hung Dao Secondary School (Quang Ngai City), shared that participating in the Dien Bien Young Soldiers Festival and listening to the veterans share about the Dien Bien Phu Victory, he was even more proud of the indomitable fighting spirit of his ancestors, and the sacrifices and losses of previous generations so that we could have the life we have today. He vowed to study hard and train well so that in the future he could use his youth to build a more prosperous and beautiful homeland and country.
Representatives of the District Youth Union and the Military Command of Binh Son district visited and gave gifts to families with revolutionary contributions in the locality.
Vo Y Nhi, class 8A, Deputy Team Leader of Pho Ninh Secondary School (Duc Pho Town), one of the teenagers who recently attended the National Dien Bien Young Soldiers Festival in Dien Bien province, shared that the activities of experiencing historical reenactments and interacting with war veterans helped us understand, love and be proud of the heroic and courageous fighting spirit, ready to overcome all difficulties and hardships of our army and people to create the historic Dien Bien Phu victory.
During the 3 days (May 4-6), Binh Son District Youth Union also organized many meaningful activities towards the historical Dien Bien. The District Youth Union coordinated with the Military Command and the District Veterans Association to visit the families and relatives of soldiers participating in the Dien Bien Phu campaign and veteran revolutionary cadres and pre-uprising cadres living in the district. In particular, Binh Son District Youth Union also organized a camp to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, with the participation of more than 450 campers from 22 communes, towns and affiliated units. The camp had many exciting activities such as the game "Marching in the footsteps of heroes", the art program "Echoes of Dien Bien"...
Many propaganda activities
The Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Young Pioneer Council launched 7 weeks of peak emulation to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024). Many propaganda and education activities for youth about the historical tradition and important significance of Dien Bien Phu Victory were enthusiastically organized by the Youth Union and Association at all levels. Youth Union bases organized more than 200 conferences, thematic talks, and activities with the theme "Dien Bien Phu - Aspiration for the Country", with the participation of more than 10,000 young union members and children. Organized 21 journeys to the source at "red addresses" with the participation of more than 500 young union members, students, and pupils; organized medical examinations and provided free medicine for youth volunteers and veterans...
All district, town, city and affiliated youth unions organized propaganda activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory. The activities attracted more than 20,000 youth union members and children from all over the province to participate and respond. Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Tran Dang Minh said that along with the emulation activities in the 7 peak weeks, the grassroots youth unions actively organized propaganda about the Dien Bien Phu Victory on cyberspace.
