Provincial youth continue heroic revolutionary tradition

BDK - The 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) has come to an end, but the values ​​of gratitude to generations of ancestors, heroic martyrs, those who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland and the patriotism of the nation will forever remain intact. Continuing the heroic revolutionary tradition, together with the youth of the whole country, the youth of Dong Khoi Ben Tre are contributing their youth every day to the cause of protecting, building and developing the homeland in all fields, ready to enter a new era - the era of national growth.

Enthusiastic about building new countryside

The historic victory of April 30, 1975 ended more than a century of sorrow, opening an era of independence, freedom, unity and territorial integrity for the Vietnamese Fatherland. It was a great achievement of iron will, of ardent patriotism, and above all, of the great, irreplaceable sacrifice of many generations of Vietnamese people, including generations of Ben Tre people.

That heroic tradition is an endless source of strength, a guiding light, adding will and confidence for today's young generation to firmly step on the new path. In recent times, the province's youth have continuously promoted their youth, actively contributing in many fields, from social security, environmental protection, to digital transformation, caring for children... One of the outstanding contents is contributing to the construction of new rural areas (NTM).

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union - Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of the province Phan Thanh Tre said that the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union has included the content of building new rural areas in the annual work program and as the theme in peak activities such as: Youth Month, Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, Spring Volunteer Program... contributing to raising awareness, role and responsibility of union members and young people in participating in building new rural areas; creating a vibrant emulation movement among the youth of the province. The Youth Union and associations at all levels proactively organize and disseminate the basic contents of the Union participating in building new rural areas to propagate to union members, young people, students and the masses to understand the importance of the program of building new rural areas. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Union of the province organize many competitions such as: Photo contest "Beauty of volunteer youth of the Coconut land"; Photo contest "Joining hands for a green environment", Writing contest "Aspiration for a green Ben Tre"; Photo contest "Ben Tre youth join hands to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas"...

In addition, 100% of the Youth Unions at all levels simultaneously implemented specific, meaningful, and practical projects and tasks bearing the mark of youth to support the criteria for building new rural areas in localities such as launching the Peak Day of "Volunteering to join hands to build new rural areas and Green Sunday". Supporting the transportation of materials, leveling, repairing, and concreting rural roads; mobilizing people to hand over and clear the land; supporting funding for installing power lines and light bulbs to light up rural roads in disadvantaged localities; organizing dredging of intra-field canals; undertaking the implementation of "bright - green - clean - beautiful - civilized - safe" routes, implementing the model of "Guidelines for waste classification at source"...

Attack on all fronts

Along with the whole country entering the innovation period, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Vo Tuan Thong stated that no matter what stage it is, the mission of the Youth Union remains unchanged, the responsibility of those working in the Youth Union remains unchanged, and even the responsibility and awareness must be higher. Therefore, the youth of the province will continue to promote the spirit of responsibility, strive to act to contribute, and contribute to the successful implementation of the goals and tasks set by the Youth Union and the Party Committee; continue to cultivate and nurture a young generation with knowledge, compassion, and responsibility to the Party, the people and the youth, so that today's young generation will not be ashamed of the organization, their predecessors and the youth.

“The flame of struggle, the flame of patriotism that previous generations have lit will forever burn in the hearts of today's young generation. The youth will continue to promote the spirit of "New Dong Khoi", be proactive, creative, and unite to build an increasingly rich and civilized homeland. Continuously study, practice, master knowledge and skills, be proactive in digital transformation, and integrate internationally to be worthy of the great sacrifices of previous generations", said Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Vo Tuan Thong.

The province’s youth will also focus on promoting gratitude, taking care of families of martyrs, war invalids, sick soldiers, and heroic Vietnamese mothers; actively participating in social security activities, promoting the morality of “When drinking water, remember its source”. Preserving and spreading the spirit of solidarity, unifying people’s hearts, together building a strong national solidarity bloc, meeting the country’s new development requirements.

On the occasion of celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the province's youth had many meaningful activities with the theme "Ben Tre Youth towards the National Day" such as: organizing a visit to the provincial martyrs' cemetery and simultaneously, the youth of the whole province visited the cemetery, offered incense, flowers, and lit candles in gratitude at 100% of cemeteries and martyrs' temples in the province. The Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee organized a provincial-level thematic activity with the theme "50 years of national reunification, unification of people's hearts". The Secretariat of the Vietnam Youth Union of the province simultaneously deployed 100% of the grassroots associations to organize the flag-raising ceremony "I love my Fatherland".

The Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Youth Activity Center organized a bridge point for a drum and trumpet art performance to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day. In addition, there were many activities to show gratitude and give gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, families with meritorious services, etc. Online propaganda activities on the Ben Tre Youth Fanpage...
