Báo Thừa Thiên HuếBáo Thừa Thiên Huế26/04/2023

The story seems very difficult, when drugs are becoming more and more complicated. The subjects of drug trafficking, transportation, storage and illegal use are often reckless, reckless, and disregard the law to "smuggle drugs" deep into people's lives, especially the youth.

It is not until now that drugs have become the "focus" of the police force, but it is a continuous, long-term, arduous, difficult, and dangerous struggle.

In recent days, many drug cases have been eradicated by the professional forces of the Provincial Police, Hue City Police, police units and localities in the province, arresting subjects, coordinating with functional forces, strictly handling according to the provisions of the law. For example, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, Provincial Police discovered and caught red-handed two subjects, Tran Viet Th. and Nguyen Thi Anh T. (both born in 2000, residing on Le Duan Street, Thuan Hoa Ward, Hue City) for illegally possessing more than 3,300 drug pills.

Then, on the afternoon of April 8, at Group 11, Thanh Lam planning area, Thuy Phuong ward (Huong Thuy town), the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, Provincial Police caught red-handed Duong R. (born 2000), residing in Phu Gia commune (Phu Vang), confiscating 8 tray packages of drugs weighing more than 876g. During an urgent search of R.'s residence, the police force confiscated an additional 629 candy pills and candy drug fragments weighing more than 301g...

Lieutenant Colonel Tran Dang Phuc, Head of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of the Provincial Police, said that the methods and tricks of drug criminals are increasingly sophisticated and cunning.

With the strong development of science and technology, drug traffickers fully exploit social networks such as Facebook, Zalo, and Telegram to exchange information, frequently changing their methods of operation to avoid control, detection, and arrest by the police.

To continue to effectively combat drug crimes, in the coming time, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, the Provincial Police will coordinate with relevant professional forces to develop many plans and organize monitoring of subjects with suspicious signs related to drugs to promptly arrest and strictly handle them according to the provisions of the law.

“The fight against drug users is still difficult and dangerous, but with high determination, we are determined to fight against drugs to the end for a peaceful Hue city,” affirmed Lieutenant Colonel Tran Dang Phuc.

Each family, clan has no drug addicts.

Recently, Hue City launched the movement "Clans and clans without poor households, drug addicts and juvenile offenders" for the period 2023 - 2024.

In addition to efforts to reduce poverty, 161 clan leaders representing 481 clans in Hue City are determined not to let any of their clans or families have drug addicts.

Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, Hoang Tan Ninh, shared that the effectiveness of the movement depends largely on the team of clan and family leaders. Each clan "competes" with the other clan so that there are no drug addicts or juveniles who violate the law.
