Commendation and reward of outstanding students of the Capital in the 2023-2024 school year

This is a traditional and meaningful activity, held annually, demonstrating the special attention of Hanoi city to students - the future buds of the country, the core force to build the country and the capital rich and developed.

Deputy Head of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization Pham Tat Thang and Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen presented flowers and certificates of merit to outstanding students of the capital.

The ceremony to commend and reward outstanding students of the Capital in the 2023-2024 school year had the participation of 820 excellent students, students with many achievements in studying, in emulation movements, extracurricular activities, social work, Youth Union and Team work, poor students who overcome difficulties, ethnic minority students who are good at studying and have good deeds, creating a spread in society... representing nearly 2.3 million students of the Capital.

Reporting at the ceremony, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong said: The 2023-2024 school year, the 10th year that the capital's education and training sector has implemented Resolution 29-NQ/TW on fundamental and comprehensive innovationin education and training, along with the sustainable development of the capital, Hanoi's education and training career has many improvements with comprehensive results achieved at all levels and fields of study.

The capital's students have made an important contribution to the city's high school graduation rate increasing by 11 places (from 27th to 16th out of 63 provinces and cities). In the 2023-2024 school year, Hanoi has 12 students winning international prizes; 184 students won prizes in national competitions for excellent students - higher than in 2023, 3 students were selected to join the Vietnamese team to participate in the International Olympic competition for cultural subjects in 2024.

In addition, Hanoi students also won 2 First Prizes and 1 Third Prize at the National Science and Technology Competition; 35 students won national prizes in the Student Startup Ideas Competition for the 2023-2024 school year. Notably, this school year, 136 excellent students were admitted to the Party.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen emphasized: Among the more than 800 outstanding students present here, many have achieved excellent results and received noble awards. These outstanding achievements reflect the persistent efforts and talents of each individual student; the sharing and companionship of friends and the dedicated help and education of teachers and the care of parents and families. The outstanding achievements that the students have achieved are the joy and pride of their families, clans, schools, the capital and the whole society. They are the most beautiful flowers in the garden of good learning of the young students in the capital.

On this occasion, 97 students with high achievements in national and international competitions for excellent students, the Science and Technology Competition for high school students, and the "Students with Startup Ideas" Competition were awarded certificates of merit by the Ministry of Education and Training and the City People's Committee; 70 outstanding students were awarded certificates of merit by the Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training.
