On the morning of June 12, the Admissions Council of Grade 6 of Tran Dai Nghia School, Ho Chi Minh City announced that 4,301 students registered for Grade 6 admission for the 2024-2025 school year.

The enrollment target for grade 6 of Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School this year is 350. The competition ratio is 1/12.

It is known that this year's enrollment target has decreased significantly compared to the target of Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted in recent years (last year the target was 535 students).

Candidates will take the entrance exam for grade 6 at Tran Dai Nghia School on July 4.

The 6th grade entrance exam includes both English and Vietnamese.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Departmentof Education and Training, candidates applying for grade 6 at Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School will take a 90-minute test.

The test consists of two parts: multiple choice and essay. The test content aims to assess English and Vietnamese language proficiency; mathematics and logical thinking; natural sciences; social sciences: history - geography; and common sense.

Specifically as follows:

In the multiple choice part: includes 20 questions in English. Candidates do the test in 30 minutes. The content of this part is questions about natural sciences, social sciences, and common life knowledge.

In the essay section: candidates will take the test in 60 minutes. The content of this section includes: questions to assess candidates' English proficiency in listening, reading, and writing skills; questions to test mathematical ability and logical thinking.

In particular, the essay test will have questions in Vietnamese and candidates will take the test in Vietnamese. The questions in Vietnamese are intended to test candidates' reading comprehension and writing skills.
