Nearly a month ago, Dien Bien Dong District Electricity coordinated with the authorities to organize the program "Propaganda on protecting the safety corridor of the power grid, preventing electrical accidents among people, preventing fire and explosion (PCCN), using electricity economically and electricity services" at Dien Bien Dong District Ethnic Minority High School. At the propaganda session, teachers and 490 students in the school were disseminated and communicated the contents about the importance of protecting the safety corridor of the high-voltage power grid, some methods of preventing electrical accidents in a practical, vivid and appropriate way for the level and age of the students. In the coming time, the school will continue to promote the protection of power grid safety corridors, fire safety, and prevention of electrical accidents through the school's extracurricular activities to spread widely and strongly among the entire population.”

Electricity plays a very important role in life as well as production. No matter where, the power grid is very necessary. However, besides the benefits that electricity brings, if electricity is used incorrectly, it will bring unpredictable consequences, affecting human life. Therefore, improving knowledge about safe, economical and effective use of electricity for the whole community is extremely practical.

Through videos and images of accidents related to electricity, prohibited behaviors in the use of electricity, students, staff, teachers and people will have a better understanding of electricity and ways to prevent dangerous factors caused by electricity. Since the beginning of the year, Dien Bien Phu City Electricity has organized propaganda in 15 villages in Ang Cang commune (Muong Ang district) and Na Tau High School, with nearly 1,400 participants; thereby contributing to raising people's awareness of preventing electrical accidents and using electricity safely.

In order to effectively and extensively implement propaganda programs among the people, the provincial Electricity sector has carried out propaganda work focusing mainly on prestigious people in densely populated villages and hamlets in the area. Focusing on directing electricity units to proactively coordinate with the police of communes, wards, schools, media units... to implement propaganda activities directly to the community.

Mr. Nguyen The Hung, Deputy Director of Dien Bien Electricity, said: In order to raise people's awareness and identify the dangers in the process of using electricity, how to prevent electrical accidents as well as contents related to the State's regulations on electrical safety and fire prevention due to electricity, the company has focused on organizing visual propaganda activities. On streets with high traffic density and densely populated areas, the unit has hung banners, pictures, posters, etc. At the same time, combined with distributing electrical safety handbooks and leaflets on protecting the safety corridor of the power grid to people. The company also widely propagates and disseminates on mass media as well as on mobile loudspeakers (using cars and motorbikes) in ethnic languages. The main contents include information on protecting the safety of power grid corridors, preventing electrical accidents, prohibited acts and advising people not to plant tall, fast-growing trees in and near the safety corridors of high-voltage power grids. The implementation of diverse and widespread propaganda in many forms has contributed to reducing the risk of loss of life and property due to accidents related to electricity.

Thanks to the focus on promoting measures in the propaganda work of the Electricity sector in the province, it has helped people grasp measures to prevent electrical accidents, how to use electricity safely, economically and effectively. On that basis, it contributes to minimizing risks of unsafety and electrical accidents, ensuring the safe, stable and continuous operation of the power grid.
