Central rate and free market USD both decreased

This morning, May 5, the central exchange rate of VND to USD was announced by the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) at 24,944 VND, down 12 VND compared to the rate announced on May 3.

With a fluctuation range of ±5%, the ceiling and floor exchange rates are 26,191 VND/USD and 23,697 VND/USD, respectively. At the State Bank of Vietnam, the reference exchange rate is at 23,759 - 26,153 VND/USD (buy - sell).

Reference exchange rates between Vietnamese Dong and foreign currencies at the State Foreign Exchange Reserve Management Department are as follows:

At Vietcombank , the listed exchange rate is 25,770 - 26,160 (buy - sell), down 20 VND for both buying and selling compared to May 4.

At BIDV Bank, in the second update this morning, the buying and selling rates of USD were 25,800 - 26,160 VND, unchanged from the previous day.

Updated at 10:30, the VND/USD exchange rate at VietinBank is 25,798 - 26,158 VND (buy - sell), a sharp increase of 128 VND for buying but a decrease of 22 VND for selling.

The USD selling rate on the free market this morning was 26,510 VND/USD, down 20 VND compared to yesterday.
