Japanese Yen exchange rate continues to weaken
Japanese Yen exchange rate surveyed on the morning of November 13, 2023 at banks, specifically as follows:
At Vietcombank, the buying rate is 155.99 VND/JPY and the selling rate is 165.12 VND/JPY, down 0.63 VND for buying and 0.67 VND for selling. At Vietinbank, the Japanese Yen rate decreased 0.53 VND for buying and selling, equivalent to 156.38 VND/JPY and 166.08 VND/JPY. At BIDV, the Japanese Yen rate decreased 0.6 VND for buying and 0.61 VND for selling, reaching 156.77 VND/JPY and 165.02 VND/JPY, respectively. At Agribank , the buying and selling rates are 157.86 VND/JPY and 162.63 VND/JPY, down 0.81 VND for buying and 0.84 VND for selling, respectively.

At Eximbank, the buying rate decreased by 0.46 VND and the selling rate decreased by 0.68 VND, respectively, to 158.25 VND/JPY and 162.66 VND/JPY. At Techcombank , the Japanese Yen exchange rate decreased by 0.92 VND and the selling rate decreased by 2.21 VND, respectively, to 154.01 VND/JPY and 164.97 VND/JPY.
At Sacombank , the Japanese Yen exchange rate decreased by 0.62 VND in buying and decreased by 0.66 VND in selling, corresponding to the prices of 158.07 VND/JPY and 164.61 VND/JPY.
Thus, Eximbank is the bank with the highest buying rate of Japanese Yen and Agribank is the bank with the lowest selling rate among the banks.
Gold prices are expected to continue to decline in the new week.
At the time of survey at 5:00 a.m. on November 13, 2023, the gold price on the trading floors of some companies was as follows:
DOJI listed the price of 9999 gold at 69.30 million VND/tael for buying and 70.30 million VND/tael for selling.
At Mi Hong Gold and Gemstone Company, at the time of survey, the listed price of SJC gold was at 69.40 - 70.00 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited is also traded by the enterprise at 69.40 - 70.30 million VND/tael (buy - sell). Meanwhile, at Bao Tin Manh Hai, it is being traded at 69.30 - 70.52 million VND/tael (buy - sell).

According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 5:00 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was at 1,938.385 USD/ounce. Converted according to the current exchange rate at Vietcombank, the world gold price is about 56.127 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees).
Gold prices have had a week of falling trading due to the decrease in investors' demand for safe havens due to the lack of unusual fluctuations in the Middle East. Gold fluctuates at 1,930 USD/ounce, with no momentum to surge beyond the psychological threshold of 2,000 USD/ounce. World gold prices are expected to decrease in the new trading week.
Domestic coffee price highest at 58,300 VND/kg
Updated at 4:18 a.m. on November 13, 2023, domestic coffee prices are flat, stable and at a fairly high level. Currently, the average coffee price in the Central Highlands provinces is about 58,100 VND/kg, the highest purchase price is 58,300 VND/kg.

Specifically, the coffee purchase price in Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces is at 58,200 VND/kg; In Dak Nong province, coffee is purchased at the corresponding price of 58,200 VND/kg.
The price of green coffee beans (coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) in Lam Dong province in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, Lam Ha, is purchased at 57,600 VND/kg.
In Cu M'gar district, Dak Lak province, coffee is purchased at 58,200 VND/kg, while in Ea H'leo district, Buon Ho town, it is purchased at the same price of 58,300 VND/kg.
