U22 Vietnam actively prepares for the match against U22 China

On the afternoon of November 11, the Vietnam U22 team entered its first and only training session in Sichuan (China), completing the final preparations for the opening match against China U22 within the framework of the CFA Team China - Panda Cup 2025 International Football Tournament.

According to Head of Delegation Tran Anh Tu, the weather conditions in Sichuan are quite favorable with a temperature of about 17 degrees Celsius. The training ground is located near the team's accommodation, only 5 minutes away and has a good quality field, fully meeting professional requirements. During the day, the group of six players finally gathered in full, were examined and assessed by the medical team before participating in the training session.

Before the training session, acting head coach Dinh Hong Vinh encouraged the players, emphasizing professionalism and high concentration in the important preparation phase for the 33rd SEA Games. He said that despite the short training time due to the V-League schedule, the team had a good foundation from previous training sessions and international tournaments.

The training session also saw the return of striker Bui Vi Hao after a long period of injury treatment. The coaching staff hopes that Vi Hao will soon regain his playing rhythm, integrate into the general playing style and contribute to the team's attacking strength.

Evaluating the opponent U22 China, coach Dinh Hong Vinh said the home team has shown significant progress through recent international friendly tournaments, possessing good physical strength and a modern playing style.

However, he emphasized that U22 Vietnam also received great respect from participating teams, based on outstanding achievements such as winning the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship and winning all matches in the 2026 Asian U23 Qualifiers.

In the afternoon training session, three players with a lot of playing time in V-League, Le Viktor, Nguyen Dinh Bac and Minh Phuc, only practiced recovery. The remaining members were reinforced with team coordination, pressing tactics and quick transitions to prepare for the opening match.

According to the schedule, the match between U22 Vietnam and U22 China will take place at 6:35 p.m. (Vietnam time) tomorrow (November 12). This is the first important challenge for coach Dinh Hong Vinh and his team at the Panda Cup 2025, a tournament of great significance in the preparation journey for the 33rd SEA Games and the 2026 AFC U23 Championship.
