On September 21, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee announced that it had issued a document directing the implementation of the conclusion of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee Standing Deputy Secretary Nguyen Khac Toan at the August meeting.
According to the conclusion announcement, in addition to requesting strict handling of violations pointed out after the inspection at the Khanh Hoa Provincial Sports Technical Training Center, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee also requested the Provincial People's Committee to consider a comprehensive inspection and examination of the selection, training, and management of athletes in sports at this unit.
Thereby promptly handling violations (if any), consolidating the organization and apparatus, creating a new step for the development of physical education and sports in the province, in accordance with the set goals.

As Thanh Nien reported, the recent conclusion of the Inspectorate of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province clearly stated that coaches Nguyen Ty and Dang Dao controlled bank cards, kept food and salary money of athletes, causing the loss of hundreds of millions of dong in state assets.
Specifically, the U.17 team practices every day of the week, except Sunday. However, in 2021, 2022 and 2023, there were many months when the team only practiced from Monday to Friday every week. On Saturday, athletes in the province were allowed to go home and not practice, while athletes from other provinces stayed at the center but did not practice in practice. Thus, Coach Nguyen Ty's work on Saturday caused a loss of more than 61.7 million VND to the state budget.
The two athletes were given a break from training by Mr. Nguyen Ty but did not propose to the Director of the center to terminate their labor contracts, and were still on the training list to receive wages and food allowances, resulting in a loss of nearly 123 million VND.
Also by keeping the ATM card and password, Coach Dang Dao allowed 2 athletes who had actually stopped training but still kept the training list to receive wages and food allowances without proposing to the Center Director to terminate the labor contract and stop training. This action caused a loss of more than 315 million VND to the state budget.
According to the Inspector of the Department of Culture and Sports, the violations committed by Mr. Dang Dao and Mr. Nguyen Ty were intentional abuse of their positions and powers, causing losses to the state budget and embezzling part of the athletes' wages and meals. During the inspection, Mr. Dao and Mr. Ty actively remedied the consequences, paying back part of the athletes' wages and meals based on the agreement between the two parties.
Mr. Nguyen Van Nhuan, Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Culture and Sports, said that the Sports Technical Training Center has disciplined Coach Nguyen Ty and Coach Dang Dao by forcing them to quit their jobs. "The police have also worked with the Center, and the Department's responsibility is to cooperate when requested by the police," said Mr. Nhuan.
