Da Nang City People's Committee announced the decision to merge Project Management Boards.

Kinhtedothi - On the morning of January 16, the People's Committee of Da Nang City held a ceremony to announce the decision to establish the organizational structure and leadership and management staff of the Project Management Boards under the People's Committee of the City.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee; Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi and Mr. Tran Chi Cuong, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee and leaders of relevant departments, branches and sectors.

Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh presented the decision to the leaders of the Project Management Boards.

Merging 6 Project Management Boards into 3 units

According to the decision of the City People's Committee, 3 new Project Management Boards were established on the basis of merging 6 existing Project Management Boards.

Specifically, the Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Civil, Industrial and Technical Infrastructure Works in Da Nang was established by merging the Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Civil and Industrial Works in Da Nang with the Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Urban Infrastructure for Development of Da Nang. Mr. Nguyen Huu Nhat, Director of the Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Urban Infrastructure for Development of Da Nang, was appointed as Director of the new Management Board from February 1, 2025.

The Danang Traffic and Agricultural Construction Project Management Board was formed from the merger of the Danang Traffic Construction Project Management Board with the Danang Agricultural and Rural Development Project Management Board. Mr. Nguyen Minh Huy, Director of the Traffic Construction Project Management Board, was appointed as Director of the new Management Board.

The Management Board of Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects of Da Nang City was merged from the Management Board of Infrastructure Development Projects of Da Nang Industrial Parks and High-Tech Parks with the Management Board of Priority Infrastructure Construction Investment Projects. Mr. Le Thanh Hung, the current Director of the Management Board of Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects, continues to hold the position of Director of the new Management Board.

Organization and implementation progress

The Project Management Boards will operate with 4 specialized departments: Organization - Administration, Finance - Planning, Appraisal, Operation - Supervision. The handover and reception between the old and new units will be carried out in January 2025, ensuring that the new Management Boards will officially come into operation from February 1, 2025.

At the ceremony, the City People's Committee also announced the decision to retire early to enjoy social insurance benefits for Mr. Nguyen Huu Hinh, Director of the Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Civil and Industrial Works in Da Nang and Mr. Vo Tien Dung, Director of the Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Agricultural Works and Rural Development in Da Nang.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh emphasized that the merger of Project Management Boards aims to streamline the apparatus, improve operational efficiency and meet the city's development requirements in the new period.
