The People's Committee of Da Nang City announced the decision to merge the Project Management Boards.

Kinhtedothi - On the morning of January 16th, the Da Nang City People's Committee held a ceremony to announce the decision to establish the organizational structure and appoint leading and managerial staff for the Project Management Boards under the Da Nang City People's Committee.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee; Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi and Mr. Tran Chi Cuong, Vice Chairpersons of the Da Nang City People's Committee, along with leaders of relevant departments and agencies.

Six Project Management Boards were merged into three units.

According to a decision by the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, three new Project Management Boards have been established by merging six existing Project Management Boards.

Specifically, the Da Nang Civil, Industrial and Infrastructure Construction Investment Project Management Board was established by merging the Da Nang Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board with the Da Nang Urban Development Infrastructure Construction Investment Project Management Board. Mr. Nguyen Huu Nhat, Director of the Da Nang Urban Development Infrastructure Construction Investment Project Management Board, was appointed as the Director of the new Management Board effective February 1, 2025.

The Da Nang Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Transportation and Agricultural Projects was formed by merging the Da Nang Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Transportation Projects with the Da Nang Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Agricultural and Rural Development Projects. Mr. Nguyen Minh Huy, Director of the Da Nang Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Transportation Projects, has been appointed as the Director of the new Management Board.

The Da Nang City Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects Management Board was formed by merging the Da Nang Industrial and High-Tech Park Infrastructure Development Projects Management Board with the Priority Infrastructure Construction Investment Projects Management Board. Mr. Le Thanh Hung, the current Director of the Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects Management Board, will continue to serve as the Director of the new Management Board.

Organizational structure and implementation schedule

The Project Management Boards will operate with four specialized departments: Organization - Administration, Finance - Planning, Appraisal, and Operation - Monitoring. The handover and acceptance process between the old and new units will be completed in January 2025, ensuring that the new Management Boards officially commence operations from February 1, 2025.

At the ceremony, the Da Nang City People's Committee also announced the decision to grant early retirement benefits to Mr. Nguyen Huu Hinh, Director of the Da Nang Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board, and Mr. Vo Tien Dung, Director of the Da Nang Agricultural and Rural Development Construction Investment Project Management Board.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh emphasized that the merger of the Project Management Boards aims to streamline the organizational structure, improve operational efficiency, and align with the city's development requirements in the new phase.
