In particular, the Russian Federation (formerly the Soviet Union) was the country that initiated international cooperation of UEH with the first Agreement on Friendship and International Cooperation signed between UEH and the Leningrad University of Finance and Economics (now part of Saint Petersburg University of Economics) in 1983.

Up to now, UEH has established and strengthened cooperative relationships with many leading universities and research institutes of the Russian Federation such as the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, Plekhanov University of Economics, Rostov National University of Economics, Ural State University of Economics, etc. Cooperation programs are implemented in many flexible forms such as student/lecturer exchanges, joint training programs, international academic conferences and joint research.

The professor expressed his deep gratitude to the Russian Federation, which has trained many generations of Vietnamese intellectuals in the fields of economics, finance, technology, etc. These generations, thanks to the guidance of Russian scientists and professors, have made important contributions to the construction of the Vietnamese education system and become a solid bridge for the strong relationship between the two countries.
