Provincial officials all admire and highly appreciate the indomitable fighting spirit and will of the Vietnamese people during the resistance war against foreign invaders, and are also impressed by Vietnam's outstanding achievements and dynamic spirit in national development today.
Through discussions, the Embassy and the province agreed on a number of very specific and feasible measures and programs, such as plans to participate in tourism events, film festivals, cultural events, and trade fairs between the two countries, exchange of delegations, the possibility of twinning Esfahan with Vietnamese provinces, and resolving difficulties for businesses in both countries…

The city was established with the aim of providing an innovation incubator with preferential policies similar to free trade zones to promote innovation and competitiveness of knowledge-based companies in the fields of AI, biotechnology, computer science, energy, information and communication technology, manufacturing, and automation...
The Embassy and ISTT agreed to organize online conferences to promote cooperation and import/export of science and technology products between ISTT and Vietnamese organizations and businesses.
The delegation also visited and paid respects at the tomb of Alexandre de Rhodes, one of the key figures in the invention and development of the Vietnamese Quốc ngữ script from the 17th century.
Located just 450km from the capital Tehran via highway, and nicknamed “Esfahan nesf-e jahan” (half the world), Esfahan is Iran’s third largest city, a long-standing cultural center, and a hub for Iranian and world handicrafts.

With over 2,000 years of history, Esfahan has been chosen as the capital of Iran four times and boasts six UNESCO World Heritage sites. Naqsh-e Jahan Square, dating back to the reign of King Shah Abbas, remains perfectly preserved to this day – one of the largest squares in the world (nearly 90,000 m² ).
Esfahan today is located in the heart of Iran and continues to maintain its position as one of Iran's leading economic centers, with strengths in the fields of energy, petrochemicals, chemicals, minerals, agriculture, food, tourism, and possesses a strategically central location.
Esfahan is also one of Iran's leading centers for science and technology, innovation, and the development of a knowledge-based economy. Leading educational institutions such as Esfahan University and Esfahan University of Technology attract over 50,000 students, training talented individuals in engineering, science, and the arts.
In 2025, Esfahan was voted the Asian Tourism City.
Here, people of different religions, such as Judaism and Islam, live together peacefully, especially the Armenian Christian community, who have settled here for 400 years. Today, there are still 8,000 residents with 13 Christian churches, making a positive contribution to the development of Esfahan.
