Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) has just announced its 2026 admissions plan with 6 admission methods, aiming to diversify admission opportunities and meet the needs of various groups of candidates.

Accordingly, the admission methods of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology in 2026 include:

Consider the results of the high school graduation exam.

Considering the results of the National University of Ho Chi Minh City's Aptitude Test.

Consider the results of the V-SAT computer-based college entrance exam.

Consider transcripts based on the average score of 3 subjects in grade 12 according to the admission combination.

Consider transcripts based on the average score of the entire 12th grade year.

Admission is based on a combination of high school graduation exam scores and high school transcript scores.

Compared to 2025, the new point in this year's enrollment plan is that the school has added an admission method combining high school graduation exam scores and high school transcript scores. With this method, the admission score is calculated according to the formula: (High school exam score + High school transcript score)/2.

In which, the high school exam score is the total score of 3 subjects according to the admission combination (30-point scale), and the high school report card score is the average score of the entire 12th grade year multiplied by 3. The addition of the combined admission method is expected to help candidates reduce the pressure of depending on only one exam, while at the same time reflecting more comprehensively their learning capacity throughout the high school process.

In addition, the school continues to maintain and expand independent assessment exams. The school plans to organize the 2026 V-SAT computer-based university entrance assessment exam on March 22, creating an additional early admission channel for candidates who want to register for the school.

Representatives from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology stated that the simultaneous implementation of multiple admission methods aims to maximize convenience for candidates, increase access to higher education, and meet the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Training 's reformed admissions process. The university will soon announce detailed plans, minimum admission scores, and specific application conditions for each training program.
