Vietnam and Iran agree to expand sustainable cooperation.

On the morning of October 27, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Hang received Mr. Vahid Jalalzadeh, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, who was visiting Vietnam to attend the opening ceremony of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime in Hanoi.

Welcoming Deputy Minister Vahid Jalalzadeh and the Iranian delegation to Vietnam, Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang affirmed that Vietnam always values ​​its friendly relations and multifaceted cooperation with Iran, and is ready to coordinate with the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to implement specific cooperation programs.

Both sides expressed pleasure at the positive developments in Vietnam-Iran relations in recent times, and affirmed that both countries have much room and potential to expand cooperation in a more substantive, effective, and sustainable manner in the future.

Both sides agreed to strengthen contacts at all levels, especially at the high level, in Vietnam and Iran, and on the sidelines of multilateral forums and conferences. They also agreed to coordinate with each other in multilateral forums where both sides are members.

The two Deputy Ministers affirmed their commitment to promptly promote bilateral cooperation mechanisms, including the Vietnam-Iran Political Consultations and Joint Committee, as well as to restore the Joint Working Groups between the two countries.

For his part, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahid Jalalzadeh congratulated Vietnam on successfully hosting the opening ceremony of the Hanoi Convention, assessing it as clear evidence that Vietnam is ready to assume more important international roles in the future, contributing to global peace, security, and development.

Deputy Minister Jalalzadeh emphasized that the Iranian people have deep affection and admiration for Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh. He affirmed that Iran always values ​​its friendly relations and multifaceted cooperation with Vietnam, and wishes to continue promoting multifaceted cooperation, especially in the fields of trade, investment, science and technology, education, and cultural exchange.
