Collision between cargo ship and fishing boat leaves one fisherman missing

On October 7, Major Nguyen Minh Phu, Head of the Thuan An Port Border Guard Station, said that in the afternoon of the same day, a collision occurred between a cargo ship and a fishing boat of fishermen from Thuan An Ward, leaving one fisherman missing. Currently, the Hue City Border Guard is mobilizing forces and means to search for the missing victim.

According to initial information, when reaching a position 8 nautical miles from Thuan An estuary, the cargo ship Thuan Trung 08 (departing from Binh Dinh to Thanh Hoa) collided with the fishing boat TTH 96239 TS captained by Mr. Phan Vy (residing in Hai Tien residential group, Thuan An ward). In addition to the 3 crew members of the fishing boat being rescued, the incident caused the fishing boat to sink, one crew member missing.

After receiving information about the incident at about 3:15 p.m. on October 7, the Hue City Border Guard Command mobilized a search and rescue ship (Flotilla 2) to respond and search for the missing person.
