On May 24, Vietnam Family Magazine organized an exchange with diver Cao Thi Duyen, who won 3 gold medals at the 32nd SEA Games, and coach Pham Anh Tuan with the theme: "The Muong girl and the journey to conquer 3 gold medals at the 32nd SEA Games".
Journalist Ho Minh Chien, Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Family Magazine, on behalf of the sponsor, presented 100 million VND to athlete Cao Thi Duyen.
At the 32nd SEA Games, Cao Thi Duyen won 3 gold medals in diving in the following events: 4x200m women's air hose relay; 4x100m women's air hose relay; 100m women's double air hose. In addition, there were 2 silver medals in the 50m women's air hose individual and 4x50m mixed relay events.
She also officially broke 2 SEA Games records and is the best achievement of Thanh Hoa sports that an athlete has achieved at a Southeast Asian Games.
Sharing at the exchange, athlete Cao Thi Duyen said: "I have tried very hard to bring achievements to Vietnam. When the national anthem was played, I felt very excited, emotional and proud."
Duyen also shared about her training process and the difficulties in daily life.
Although Duyen is considered the "golden girl" of Vietnamese sports, her parents still live in a 30m2 house built of rubble, without a single place to display her medals and achievements.
At the meeting, some businesses presented Cao Thi Duyen with 200 million VND and 150 million VND to support Duyen's family in building a new house.
