Continuing the tradition of Long An's bravery and resilience, youth union members from Can Giuoc district had the opportunity to visit Can Tho City to pay respects at the Hung King Temple. Everyone felt an indescribable emotion upon seeing such a magnificent and meaningful center for worshipping the Hung Kings, right in the heart of the Mekong Delta, dedicated to the people of the region and neighboring provinces.

As a native of Long An province, visiting the Hung Kings Temple in Can Tho City for the first time, Do Thi Thao Phuong, Secretary of the Can Giuoc District Youth Union, was deeply moved. “Like the other Youth Union members in the delegation, I was touched by the grandeur and solemnity of the structure. The regulations of the Temple Management Board and the dress code for entering the temple area demonstrate a serious and respectful attitude in this sacred place, commemorating the nation-building contributions of the Hung Kings. This place is very meaningful for those of us from the South who are drawn to our ancestral land,” shared Ms. Thao Phuong.

According to Ms. Thao Phuong, the trip had significant educational value, serving as a vivid lesson in national history and culture. It was an opportunity for the younger generation to reconnect with their roots, contributing to the education of traditions and gratitude for the contributions of the Hung Kings. It fostered pride in the Lac Hong blood flowing in their hearts and pride in being Vietnamese, descendants of the Dragon and the Immortal.

The Hung King Temple is the "heart" through which the people of the Mekong Delta turn their thoughts towards the sacred National Ancestor.

The Hung King Temple in Can Tho City is a cultural and religious structure with profound humanistic and traditional values, considered the "heart" where the people of the Mekong Delta unite in a shared heartbeat, hướng towards the sacred National Ancestor. "A tree has roots, a river has a source," and the Hung King Temple in Can Tho City is a vivid manifestation of this principle. The main components of the project include the Hung King Temple, the administrative building, the ceremonial gate, the stele house, courtyards, green spaces, etc. Particularly noteworthy are the 18 arched structures surrounding the main temple, symbolizing the 18 generations of Hung Kings who contributed to the founding of the nation. The main temple is surrounded by a circular lake on a square base, symbolizing the concept of "round sky, square earth." The altar dedicated to the National Ancestor Hung King is in the center of the main temple, facing directly towards the outside, flanked by the altars of the National Mother Au Co and the Ancestor Lac Long Quan, and next to them are the altars of the Lac Hau and Lac Tuong...

Upon arriving here, visitors not only pay their respects by offering incense to commemorate the Hung Kings but also listen to tour guides tell stories about the Hung Kings and the legend of Saint Giong, and see bronze drums, etc.

With its architectural values and profound spiritual significance, the Hung King Temple in Can Tho City will be a sacred and humane spiritual destination in the spiritual life of the people of Can Tho in particular and the whole country in general. The Hung King Temple in Can Tho City, along with the Hung King Temple National Special Historical Site in Phu Tho, effectively fulfills the task of preserving and promoting the value of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity recognized by UNESCO. From there, it further instills pride in the tradition of nation-building and national defense passed down by the Hung Kings, firmly consolidating the spirit of national unity, and building and protecting the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for the goal of "a prosperous people, a strong nation, democracy, fairness, and civilization."
