Visit Hung King Temple in Can Tho

During the journey to continue the tradition of Long An, the youth union members of Can Giuoc district had the opportunity to visit Can Tho city to pay homage to the Hung Kings Temple. Everyone was filled with indescribable emotions when right in the land of Tay Do, there was a center of worship, practicing the worship of the Hung Kings, which was very majestic and meaningful for the people of the Mekong Delta and neighboring provinces.

As a native of Long An , the first time visiting the Hung Kings Temple in Can Tho City, Secretary of Can Giuoc District Youth Union - Do Thi Thao Phuong could not help but be moved. “I, as well as the other members of the delegation, were moved by the grandeur and majesty of the construction. With the regulations of the Temple Management Board and the dress code when entering the temple area, it can show a serious attitude and respect for the solemn place to commemorate the Hung Kings' contributions to building the country. This place is very meaningful for the children of the South who turn to the Ancestral Land” - Ms. Thao Phuong shared.

According to Ms. Thao Phuong, the trip has manyeducational meanings, is a vivid lesson about history and national culture. This is an opportunity for the younger generation to return to their roots. Thereby, contributing to educating traditions, gratitude for the merits of the Hung Kings. Proud of the Lac Hong blood flowing in their hearts and also proud of being Vietnamese citizens, children of the Dragon, grandchildren of the Fairy.

The Hung King's altar is in the center of the main temple, facing directly, on both sides are the thrones worshiping the National Mother Au Co, the Ancestor Lac Long Quan, next to them are the thrones worshiping Lac Hau, Lac Tuong, etc.

When arriving here, visitors not only pay their respects by offering incense in memory of the Hung Kings, but also listen to the narrator tell stories about the Hung Kings, the legend of Saint Giong, and see bronze drums,...
