VFF leaders awarded the "For the Cause of Vietnamese Football" Medal to outstanding individuals.

The medals were awarded according to Decision No. 577/QD-LĐBĐVN issued by the VFF Executive Committee on June 28, 2025. Three individuals were honored for their practical and effective contributions to the development of grassroots and professional football, especially in Binh Duong - a locality with a strong and traditional football movement.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan acknowledged the dedication and support of the above individuals in developing Binh Duong football and Vietnamese football in general. The VFF President hopes that units, businesses and individuals will continue to join hands to contribute to the country's football, especially in youth training and developing grassroots movements.

In particular, since 2007, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Duong province (after merging with the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City) has coordinated with the Binh Duong Provincial Football Federation (now Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation) to organize the Binh Duong Provincial Football Championship with the participation of nearly 200 amateur football teams in the area.

Over the years, the tournament has not only been held annually but also become a traditional playground, contributing to the development of the sports movement, improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people.

After the ceremony, delegates watched and congratulated the Vietnamese team's 3-1 victory over Nepal in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers.
