Vi Hao shares about his physical condition after injury recovery

Striker Bui Vi Hao shared about his physical condition and expressed his determination to officially qualify for the 33rd SEA Games.

Accordingly, before the U22 Vietnam training session on the afternoon of November 24 in Vung Tau, Vi Hao said he had recovered 90% and was ready for the final SEA Games of his career. He shared: "At this point, I have recovered 90%. I will try my best to get a place at the 33rd SEA Games."

The player of Becamex TP.HCM emphasized: "I am very happy and honored to be called back to U22 Vietnam to prepare for the SEA Games after an 8-month injury recovery process. I will try my best in this training session because this is the last SEA Games that I am old enough to participate in."

Playing in two matches at the 2025 Panda Cup in China recently helped Vi Hao quickly regain his ball feel and playing rhythm. “This is a valuable time to help me regain my fitness after a long break. I will try to adapt as quickly as possible to meet the requirements of the coaching staff,” he said.

Looking at the opponents in the group, the U22 Vietnam striker showed his respect: “Laos and Malaysia are both familiar opponents. This year they can change a lot in their lineup. For me, every team is strong and everyone will try to win.”

Bui Vi Hao suffered an injury in March during a training session of Becamex TP.HCM (then Binh Duong ). Initially, he was diagnosed with a sprained ankle, but the scan results showed a much more serious injury. Accordingly, the striker born in 2003 suffered a torn ankle ligament, forcing him to undergo surgery and take a long break from competition.

Vi Hao's return is of great significance to U22 Vietnam. Before his injury, he was one of the fastest and most innovative strikers of the youth teams. His return helps coach Kim Sang-sik have more reliable options alongside Nguyen Thanh Nhan, Quoc Viet and Dinh Bac.

According to the plan, U22 Vietnam will train in Vung Tau from November 23 to 29, before going to Thailand to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games. For Vi Hao, this congress is not only a return, but also an opportunity to end his youth with a complete journey.
