On November 25, Phu Luong commune held the inauguration ceremony of the restoration and embellishment project of the historical - cultural relic, national scenic spot of Duom Temple. The Duom Temple Historical - Cultural Relic Complex, National Scenic Spot was built by the people in 1180, as a place to worship the famous general Duong Tu Minh, a Tay ethnic, who helped the king fight against the Song invaders and keep the northern border peaceful. With its special historical and cultural values, in 1993, Duom Temple was recognized as a National Historical - Scenic Spot, planned on a total area of over 39 hectares.

Over time, many items in the Relic complex have seriously degraded. Based on the assessment of the Department of Cultural Heritage (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) and the consensus of the local government and people, Mr. Nguyen Huy Quy, Chairman of the Board of Directors, General Director of Thang Long Mineral Exploitation and Construction Investment Joint Stock Company, has donated over 50 billion VND to restore and embellish the Relic complex.

Delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the restoration and embellishment of the national historical site of Duom Temple.

During this renovation, many important items were restored and upgraded, such as: Upper Temple, Middle Temple, the shrine of the two princesses Dien Binh - Thieu Dung, Dinh Nieng, Tam Quan, the festival yard system, the road to the temple and auxiliary items. The completed project has a spacious and harmonious appearance, preserving the traditional architectural identity, respecting the original values and being suitable for the sacred landscape of the mountains and forests here.

The completion of the restoration and embellishment of the Duom Temple Relic Complex before the 2026 festival season will create favorable conditions for the locality to organize cultural activities, serving the worship, festival and sightseeing needs of the people and tourists. This is an opportunity to promote cultural and historical values, develop spiritual and ecological tourism and connect Duom Temple with relics, scenic spots in the province and the Viet Bac cultural space.
