With a total natural area of 8,227 hectares and a population of 15,922 people, Nam Cat Tien has established its position as the center for agricultural and forestry economic development, ecotourism, resorts and forestry scientific research in Dong Nai province, bringing many business opportunities for local people and investors.

In recent times, the Party Committee of the commune has actively brought the thematic resolution on "Promoting the development of tourism and tourism services associated with the local agricultural economic model" into life, receiving high consensus and enthusiastic participation from the people.

The highlight of the achievements in the 2020-2025 term that the political system and people here have achieved is that they have officially completed the task of building an advanced new rural commune. Notably, many "fundamental" targets have exceeded the original plan such as: average income per capita reaching 88.6 million VND/year, technical infrastructure, education, health, environment, state budget revenue...

The economy is developing more and more sustainably, clearly demonstrated by the agricultural sector, which plays a pivotal role and is rapidly shifting to large-scale production organization, specialized cultivation, application of science - technology and high technology, forming a chain of links. Up to now, there are 2 products (oyster mushrooms and shiitake mushrooms) that have been granted 3-star OCOP certification.

The land and climate of Nam Cat Tien are suitable for the strong development of durian trees. The value of agricultural and aquaculture products in the commune currently reaches an average of 242 million VND/ha. This figure reflects the farmers' ability to be sensitive, creative, innovate production methods and actively restructure the rural economy, under the proactive and close guidance of the Party Committee and the timely and dynamic management of the government.

The new rural appearance in the forest edge commune has really improved, with essential infrastructure fully invested in transportation, electricity, water, healthcare, education, culture, sports and tourism.

The trade and service sector has served production and life well. The reform of administrative procedures, planning, environmental protection and climate change response has gradually become routine. The quality of education and training, and people's health care has gradually improved. Cultural and sports activities have gone into depth, contributing to building a civilized, friendly and affectionate Nam Cat Tien people. The task of poverty reduction has been given attention, reducing the poverty rate to 0.22% of the population. National defense and security have been maintained. The work of building a clean and strong Party and political system has been continuously focused on, creating great trust among the people.

A highlight in this special area carrying out the mission of preserving the "green lung" of the Southeast region is that forest protection and development work is regularly promoted, with a tree coverage rate of 81%, high compared to the general level of the province.

That is the great goal, the long-term vision, the aspiration to build and renew the image of the homeland that the Party Committee, government and people of Nam Cat Tien commune are determined to aim for.

The aspiration to “rise up” and enter a new era is being directly spread and inspired by 697 Party members of the entire Party Committee of the commune to a large number of people. Excited about the important political event in the locality, Mr. Pham Van Nhanh, in Hamlet 11, Nam Cat Tien Commune, shared: “We hope that the new cadres of the commune will lead wisely, enthusiastically, go deep, and closely grasp the thoughts and aspirations of the people. In particular, promote administrative procedure reform to reduce the hardship for people to travel.”

A series of key tasks and feasible solutions have been assigned by the Party Committee, binding specific assignments and tasks with "clear people, clear work, clear responsibilities" to bring about "substantial products".

However, according to local government representatives, in order to effectively exploit the available potential, both promoting the household economy and protecting the forest, Nam Cat Tien commune really needs the province to pay attention and support a long-term development strategy and a sustainable agricultural and forestry economic policy. Building a systematic tourism development planning project to have clearer "products" to attract and serve tourists is something that should be done right now.

Although there are still many difficulties and challenges ahead, the current achievements have become a solid foundation for the owners of this land to enthusiastically regain their spirit, immediately take action to concretize the content of the resolution, creating a "leverage" for Nam Cat Tien to accelerate in the coming time.

The Party Committee of Nam Cat Tien commune determined: Focus on systematically implementing the development of high-tech, sustainable agriculture and forestry, adapting to climate change based on the foundation of green economy, circular economy, low carbon emissions, linked to the consumer market, increasing the value of goods. Maximize the mobilization of resources to invest in rural infrastructure. Do a good job of managing tourism development planning, in order to exploit potentials and advantages associated with preserving and promoting cultural, historical values and natural resources. Emphasize the urgent need to perfect a streamlined, effective and efficient government apparatus, taking the satisfaction of people and businesses as a measure of the level of task completion of cadres, party members, civil servants and public employees.

Average annual growth rate of total product value: Industry - construction 13-15%; agriculture, aquaculture 4.5-8.5%; trade, services 14-16%; average income per capita by 2030 reaches 109 million VND; poverty rate maintains a decrease of 1-1.5%; rate of population participating in health insurance is over 95%; rate of people using clean water is over 95%.
