National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology works on technical support for HIV testing in Lao Cai

CTTĐT - On August 5, the delegation coordinated with officers from the Lao Cai Provincial Center for Disease Control to work directly at the Van Yen Regional Medical Center and Lao Cai Provincial General Hospital No. 1.

  

The main contents implemented at the two locations include: technical guidance on sample collection, preservation and transportation of HIV and EID viral load test samples according to regulations of the Ministry of Health ; training in using software to return HIV viral load test results via text message; technical support in testing to detect new HIV infections and gene sequence analysis to serve HIV/AIDS prevention and control.

During the working session, the monitoring delegation highly appreciated the preparation work, proactive spirit and active coordination of the Center as well as related units.

This working program contributes to improving the professional capacity of provincial and district health facilities, creating a solid foundation for effective implementation of HIV/AIDS prevention and control in the coming time./.
