Vietnam has a pair of dancesport athletes who won the 2025 Middle-Aged Olympics

The Vietnamese dancesport athlete couple, Pham Trung Hoa - Nguyen My Trang, excellently won the Gold Medal at the 2025 Middle Age Games in the Latin A category - Middle Age 2 (one over 40 years old and one over 45 years old).

Nguyen My Trang and Pham Trung Hoa have just officially stepped onto the highest podium of the 2025 Middle Age Games.

From Taiwan (China), Ms. Nguyen My Trang shared with VietNamNet: “The two of us and the entire Vietnamese sports delegation participating in the World Masters Games are extremely surprised and proud of this achievement. This is the first time we have stood on the highest podium of glory in a global arena. I am very moved and want to share this joy and pride with everyone, especially those who are middle-aged and elderly.

For me, participating in the Mid-Age Games is a valuable opportunity to explore my own limits and overcome them. It is not just about winning medals, we want to spread the spirit of “sports for life” - as the World Masters Games slogan says: Sports Beyond Age, Life Without Limits to encourage people to maintain physical activity at all ages.

Previously, on the first day of competition (May 27), the couple also won a Silver medal in the Latin D category and a Bronze medal in the Latin C category for the Middle Age 2 age group.

Vietnamese Dancesport athlete couple Pham Trung Hoa - Nguyen My Trang

The 2025 Mid-Age Games held in Taiwan (China) will bring together more than 25,000 athletes from 108 countries, competing in 35 different sports.

In May 2025, the Vietnamese Dancesport athlete couple Pham Trung Hoa - Nguyen My Trang excellently entered the Top 30 best Latin dance couples in the world for middle-aged people (ranked 29th on the global rankings announced by the World Dancesport Federation on May 6, 2025).

Mr. Pham Trung Hoa is a coach and Dancesport athlete who has competed professionally for 18 years. He is currently the Director of a dancesport center in Hanoi, where Ms. Nguyen My Trang has studied for the past 8 years.

Ms. Nguyen My Trang is currently the Deputy General Director of My Thanh Company. She started practicing Dancesport in 2017 and has just entered professional Dancesport competitions at international tournaments since September 2023.
