This is the first time that the Asian Architecture Awards (AADA) and the Asian Travel and Tourism Awards (AHA) 2025 are held simultaneously with the theme “Vibrant Asia”.
The event brought together more than 200 architects, designers, hoteliers and experts from 10 Asian countries. Representatives from the Embassies of Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines in Korea were also present, affirming the increasingly deep cultural and creative ties in the region.
At the award ceremony, Mr. Tan Quee Peng - General Director of RSP Vietnam, Head of the AADA 2025 Jury, emphasized the connection between architecture and tourism and accommodation services in building cultural identity and promoting economic development.
“When combined together, architecture and services make a real contribution to the cultural and economic development of Asia,” said Mr. Tan Quee Peng.
This year, AADA honored 63 architectural works, while AHA honored 38 individuals and projects representing the service industry. For AADA, this year's honored projects clearly demonstrate the trend of human-centeredness, cultural connection and the spirit of daring to experiment with new ideas. Projects such as Missions Etrangeres De Paris (MEP) (Thailand), Savanna Villas (Indonesia) made their mark with their vision of future living, while Seoul Robot AI Museum (South Korea) represents technological advancement and innovation in modern urban areas.
Vietnam has impressed with many creative projects such as: The RIVUS and The CENTRIC by Masterise Group, Dong Dong furniture collection (Landco Corporation), Dhawa Hanoi & The Lakeside Complex (Pacific Thang Long), The Luxury House (Cat Moc Group)... The projects demonstrate a harmonious combination of heritage, sustainability and innovation, reflecting the unique identity of Vietnamese architecture in the context of modern Asian urban areas.
At AHA 2025, Vietnam also made a strong impression. Selectum Noa Resort was awarded the title of Asia's Best Resort 2025, Ambassador Cruise won Asia's Best Dinner Cruise, and Ngoc Rong Cave was honored as an outstanding new cultural destination. In addition, the Military Guesthouse (Vietnam) was also included in the list of typical hotels and resorts in the region.
Mr. Gianfranco Bianchi - Advisor and judge of AAO shared: “I am extremely proud to witness Vietnamese projects shining brightly in the regional arena. This not only affirms the creative capacity but also clearly demonstrates the unique cultural imprint of Vietnam in the hotel and service industry”.
Closing this year's season, AAO officially announced that Vietnam will be the next destination of the honor journey, with Ngoc Rong Cave chosen as the venue for the 2026 season. This will be an opportunity for Vietnam to continue to spread the spirit of innovation, creativity and affirm the national cultural identity to the architecture - design - tourism community throughout Asia.
