Vietnam, Laos strengthen cooperation between the two agencies of Propaganda and Education

NDO - Within the framework of the visit and work in Laos from September 23 to 25, the delegation of the Central Propaganda Department led by Comrade Lai Xuan Mon, member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Head of the Commission, paid a courtesy visit to Comrade Khamphan Pheuyavong, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party; held talks with the delegation of the Central Propaganda Department of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party; visited and worked in Luang Prabang province.

On the afternoon of September 25, within the framework of the visit and work in Laos, the delegation of the Central Propaganda Department of the Communist Party of Vietnam led by Comrade Lai Xuan Mon, member of the Central Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee, paid a courtesy visit to Comrade Khamphan Pheuyavong , Secretary of the Central Party Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party. Highly appreciating the visit and work of the delegation, Head of the Central Propaganda Department of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Khamphan Pheuyavong affirmed that the visit not only contributed to the development of the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States and peoples of Laos and Vietnam, but also helped to tighten and further develop the cooperative relationship between the Lao Propaganda Department and the Vietnam Propaganda Department. On this occasion, Comrade Khamphan Pheuyavong expressed his condolences to the Party, State and people of Vietnam over the passing of the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong; expressed sympathy for the heavy loss of life and property caused by storm No. 3 (storm Yagi).

Comrade Lai Xuan Mon respectfully thanked the Lao Party, State and people for their affection for the Vietnamese Party, State and people; expressed gratitude for their sympathy for the heavy losses and damage to people and property caused by storm No. 3 in Vietnam. Congratulating the achievements that the Lao Party, State and people have achieved after half a term of implementing the Resolution of the 11th Congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Comrade Lai Xuan Mon expressed his belief that under the wise leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and the resolute management of the Government, the brotherly country of Laos will soon overcome all difficulties and challenges, continue to gain many new and greater achievements, successfully implement the Resolution of the 11th Congress and the 9th Five-Year Socio-Economic Development Plan. Comrade Lai Xuan Mon affirmed that the Party, State and people of Vietnam always attach importance to and give top priority to fostering and strengthening the special Vietnam-Laos relationship, identifying this as a strategic task in Vietnam's foreign policy. On the same morning, in the capital Vientiane, Laos, talks took place between the delegation of the Central Propaganda Department of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the delegation of the Central Propaganda Department of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party.

At the talks, the two sides informed each other about the results of economic, cultural, social development and other fields; the implementation of the tasks of the two sides, the core and important contents in political and ideological work, and practical lessons of the two countries. This is an issue of suggestive value and extremely useful for the process of drafting documents for the National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the National Congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party. After the talks, the two delegations of Vietnam and Laos attended the ceremony to present Orders, Medals and Certificates of Merit of the State of Vietnam to officials of the Central Propaganda Department of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and of the State of Laos to officials of the Central Propaganda Department of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Lai Xuan Mon affirmed that this is the sentiment and respect of the Lao Party and State for the contributions of the Central Propaganda Department of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Central Propaganda Department of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, through the development stages of the two Parties, two States, two peoples, joining hands to foster the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.

Comrade Lai Xuan Mon emphasized that the two Propaganda agencies of Vietnam and Laos will continue to make every effort, stand shoulder to shoulder, "work together" on the ideological, cultural, information and propaganda fronts, making an important contribution to the revolutionary cause of each country; at the same time, together promote the fine traditions, strengthen the special relationship between Vietnam-Laos, Laos-Vietnam.

On this occasion, the Central Propaganda Department of the Communist Party of Vietnam also presented the Central Propaganda Department of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party with 10 sets of computers to serve professional work. Also within the framework of the visit and work in Laos, earlier, on the afternoon of September 23, in Luang Prabang province, Comrade Lai Xuan Mon and the delegation of the Vietnam Propaganda Department had a meeting and worked with Comrade Khamkhan Chanthavisuk, member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Governor of Luang Prabang province (Northern Laos); visited and worked with the Consulate General of Vietnam in Luang Prabang province.
