Vietnam - Japan cooperate in training semiconductor chip industry

The Japanese Prime Minister said the two countries agreed to cooperate in training high-quality human resources in the semiconductor chip industry.

Today, April 28, Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru visited the Vietnam - Japan University, Vietnam National University , Hanoi . Here, Mr. Ishiba Shigeru said that Japan and Vietnam agreed to cooperate in training high-quality human resources in the semiconductor chip industry.

Professor Le Quan, Director of Hanoi National University, said that Hanoi National University has a long-standing tradition of cooperation with Japanese universities, research institutes, and enterprises in two important areas: Vietnamese-Japanese language and culture; and advanced science and technology.

These cooperations are the foundation for the establishment and development of the Vietnam - Japan University. At the same time, it is also an important foundation for Hanoi National University to develop advanced technical training and research programs. In which the highlight is the semiconductor industry, digital transformation, green transformation, high-tech agriculture in the era of the Vietnamese nation's rise.

According to Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru, Japan and Vietnam agreed to cooperate in training high-quality human resources for the semiconductor chip industry. Mr. Ishiba Shigeru also expressed his joy at the efforts of the Vietnam - Japan University in increasing the scale of training as well as developing new and attractive technical training programs, including semiconductor chip technology.

Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru hopes that the Vietnam-Japan University project in Hoa Lac will soon be accelerated to create an excellent learning and research environment.

Previously, on April 27, when General Secretary To Lam met with Chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party and Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru, Mr. Ishiba Shigeru agreed to support training of high-quality human resources in Japan and at the Vietnam-Japan University, a symbol of cooperation in training and research between the two countries.

Vietnam - Japan University was established in July 2014, based on a joint initiative of senior leaders of Vietnam and Japan. Before the visit of Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru, on April 18, the Prime Minister of Vietnam signed a decision approving the investment policy for the project to build Vietnam - Japan University in Hoa Lac.
