Vietnam is about to have another world-class 36-hole golf course.

Spanning 180 hectares and boasting a modern resort service system, the Silk Path Ha Tinh golf course project not only opens up opportunities for economic and tourism development in the locality but also contributes to elevating Vietnam's golf tourism position on the regional map.

Leaders of Ha Tinh province, along with delegates, performed the ritual of pressing the button to officially launch the Silk Path Ha Tinh golf course project.

On May 19th, in Thach Xuan commune, Thach Ha district, the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province, in coordination with Ha Tinh Tourism and Sports Services Joint Stock Company, held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Silk Path Ha Tinh 36-hole golf course project with a total investment of nearly 1,800 billion VND.

This is considered a significant milestone in the strategy for developing golf tourism and high-end resort services in the North Central region in particular and Vietnam in general. Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duy Lam, along with leaders of various departments and agencies of the province.

The project "36-hole sports golf course within the planning scheme of the Southwest sports area of ​​Thach Ha district - Silk Path Golf Course Ha Tinh" was approved by the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province according to Decision No. 62/QD-UBND dated December 3, 2025. The total investment of the project is VND 1,798.56 billion, of which nearly VND 270 billion is equity capital, and the remainder is mobilized capital.

Leaders of Ha Tinh province and the investor held a groundbreaking ceremony for the project.

The project will be implemented on an area of ​​approximately 180 hectares in Thach Xuan commune, comprising a 36-hole golf course along with a system of facilities for management, operation, accommodation, and services for golfers. According to the plan, the project will be completed in August 2028.

The investment in building a large-scale 36-hole golf course in Ha Tinh not only creates another world-class sports and resort destination but also contributes to Vietnam's continued affirmation of its position on the regional golf tourism map. In recent years, golf tourism has become a strong development trend thanks to its advantageous natural landscapes, diverse climate, and increasingly modern golf course system.

The opening of Silk Path Ha Tinh is expected to create a new attraction for high-end tourists, especially international visitors seeking to experience resort services combined with sports. This will also be a driving force for the development of accommodation, food, entertainment, and commercial services in the locality.

Once operational, the project will not only provide golf and resort services but also contribute to diversifying Ha Tinh's tourism products, creating more jobs for local workers, increasing budget revenue, and promoting economic restructuring towards a higher proportion of services.

Comrade Tran Bau Ha - Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, delivered a speech at the groundbreaking ceremony.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province, Tran Bau Ha, emphasized that this is one of the province's key projects, with significant importance in promoting socio-economic development and upgrading the local high-quality tourism infrastructure.

Provincial leaders requested the investor to focus maximum financial resources, human resources, technology, and equipment to accelerate construction progress; and at the same time, research and apply modern solutions to improve operational efficiency, ensure sustainable development, and be environmentally friendly.

Ha Tinh province also pledged to continue supporting businesses, creating favorable conditions during project implementation, resolving difficulties, and shortening administrative procedures to ensure the project is completed on schedule and meets high quality standards.

Representing the investor, Ms. Bui Tu Phuong - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ha Tinh Tourism and Sports Services Joint Stock Company, said that with the advantages of Silk Path's brand, tourism ecosystem, and operational capacity, the project is expected to create a boost for Ha Tinh's tourism and service industry, and at the same time contribute to making the locality a new destination for golf tourism in Vietnam.

On this occasion, Ha Tinh Tourism and Sports Services Joint Stock Company also donated 200 million VND each to the Fund for the Poor in Toan Luu and Thach Xuan communes.
