According to Lai Chau province's report, the province currently has 7,064 temporary and dilapidated houses; of which 5,831 houses need to be rebuilt and 1,233 houses need to be repaired. Up to now, Lai Chau province has built and repaired 4,782 houses, reaching 67.7% of the plan, with a total mobilized budget of more than VND 277 billion. Of this, the Ministry of Public Security , together with VietinBank and a number of other banks, mobilized and joined hands to support the construction of 1,100 houses with a total budget of VND 66 billion.

Up to now, VietinBank has spent over 97 billion VND to support social security work in Lai Chau province, including: Building 305 houses for poor households, 5 community cultural houses, 1 medical high school, 1 medical clinic; donating 6 ambulances to medical facilities, giving health insurance books, Tet gifts to poor households, policy families...
