On March 29, in Hanoi , Vietnam Airlines Corporation (Vietnam Airlines) signed a cooperation agreement on the operation of a simulated cockpit (SIM) with the global flight training equipment and service provider CAE Inc. (CAE). The signing ceremony was part of the working program in Vietnam of Ms. Mary Ng - Minister of Economic Development, International Trade and Export Promotion of Canada. Accordingly, the two sides agreed to continue and extend the cooperation in operating Airbus A350 and Boeing 787 SIMs until the end of 2033. This is an important achievement, serving the SIM training needs of the national airline's pilots. SIM training right in Vietnam not only helps the airline increase safety, flexibility, and initiative, but also saves significant time. This is especially meaningful for Vietnam Airlines when optimizing and cutting costs to improve business efficiency during the recovery and development period after the pandemic. Previously, in the period of 2017-2018, Vietnam Airlines received from CAE 03 modern SIM devices suitable for the technical features of the aircraft lines the airline is operating, including Airbus A321, Airbus A350 and Boeing 787. Combined with the existing facilities, equipment and experienced teaching staff at the FTC Flight Training Center, Vietnam Airlines has successfully organized pilot training types such as periodic training, conversion training, upgrade training, etc. In addition, receiving and transferring modern technology related to the operation, maintenance and repair of SIM systems for large aircraft lines such as Airbus A350 and Boeing 787 has helped Vietnam Airlines take the lead in applying technology, building the most modern pilot training center in Vietnam. From there, the airline can proactively source pilots, helping to develop sustainably and stably./.KC
