Both the number of flights and the number of seats have increased compared to the same period last year. Of which, the domestic flight network alone will operate 33,000 flights with more than 6.3 million seats. Compared to the regular operating schedule, the number of domestic seats will increase by more than 28%, equivalent to nearly 1.4 million additional seats.
The increase in capacity is mainly concentrated on routes connecting Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and tourist destinations such as Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Da Lat, Hue, Quy Nhon, Thanh Hoa.
On the international flight network, this summer peak is also the time when Vietnam Airlines operates many new routes, including Ho Chi Minh City - Bali and Nha Trang - Busan from June 2025; Hanoi - Milan and Da Nang - Osaka both from July 2025.
During peak seasons, airlines are actively exploiting resources; optimizing flight schedules; increasing early morning and late evening flights to add more seats to the market.
Airlines recommend that passengers book and issue tickets early, check in online before the flight via website, mobile application, at airport kiosks within 24 hours before departure time.
