Viettel Ha Tinh celebrates 20 years of tradition

On the afternoon of December 26, Viettel Ha Tinh held a ceremony to celebrate its 20th anniversary (December 26, 2003 - December 26, 2023). Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran The Dung; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Bao Ha; representatives of the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group (Viettel) attended the ceremony.

Delivering a speech at the ceremony, Captain Phan Van Thai - Director of Viettel Ha Tinh emphasized: On December 26, 2003, Ha Tinh Telecommunication Center, the predecessor of today's Viettel Ha Tinh, was officially established with an initial staff of only 14 people and inadequate facilities. Immediately after that, Viettel's inter-provincial and international long-distance telephone service with code 178 was launched, bringing benefits to telecommunication service users.

In 2004, the first two mobile broadcasting stations in Ha Tinh were built at the television tower on Thien Tuong hill (Hong Linh town) and Ha Tinh Television Station, Ha Tinh town (now Ha Tinh city).

After 20 years of construction and development, Viettel Ha Tinh has gradually grown and matured, becoming one of the leading enterprises in the field of telecommunications - information technology, contributing to the development of Viettel and the socio-economic development of the province.

From the initial broadcasting stations, up to now, Viettel Ha Tinh has had more than 1,200 BTS stations transmitting and receiving 2G, 3G, 4G mobile signals, providing for more than 900,000 subscribers of all types. Total revenue of all types of services reaches more than 1,000 billion VND/year; the average contribution to the State budget is more than 33 billion VND/year.

With the philosophy of "business associated with social responsibility", in recent years, the unit has had many meaningful programs, leaving a good impression in the hearts of every Ha Tinh citizen such as the programs: Heart for children, For studious children, School Internet...
