Honoring 81 outstanding young entrepreneurs

From 119 applications in 40 provinces and cities, through 3 rounds of voting, 81 outstanding candidates were awarded the title of Outstanding Young Entrepreneur in 2023.

On the afternoon of July 30 in Hanoi , the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association held an award ceremony for the title of Outstanding Young Entrepreneur 2023.

From 119 applications submitted from 40 provinces and cities, through 3 rounds of voting, 81 outstanding candidates were selected to be awarded the title of Outstanding Young Entrepreneur. At the same time, a secret ballot was held to select the 10 most outstanding candidates to be awarded the title of Top 10.

According to the organizers, the businesses of outstanding young entrepreneurs generated revenue in 2022 of VND 1,698 billion, profit of VND 104 billion, and paid VND 39 billion to the budget.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Tuan Anh - Politburo member, head of the Central Economic Commission - assessed that through 7 implementations, the program of voting and awarding the title of Outstanding Young Entrepreneur has encouraged and motivated young Vietnamese entrepreneurs with outstanding achievements in starting a business, creating a competitive movement among young people and young entrepreneurs, promoting production and business activities of enterprises.

On behalf of the Party and State, he highly appreciated the contributions of young entrepreneurs to the development of the country and commended the Central Youth Union, the Central Vietnam Youth Union and the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association for being proactive, active and playing an important role in orienting and gathering young people to nurture and train them to become exemplary young people , including future young entrepreneurs of the country.

He suggested that the Central Youth Union, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union and the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association continue to innovate, improve the quality and efficiency of operations, be the core in the youth start-up and creative movement, and take the lead in implementing the goal of "Start-up Nation".

Guide and orient youth nationwide to participate in creative startups, focusing on important areas of practical significance and urgent requirements in the process of continuing to promote industrialization, modernization and integration of the country in the coming period.

In particular, pay attention to areas such as digital economy, manufacturing industry, service industries with high knowledge and technology content; green economy, circular economy...

At the same time, it is recommended that party organizations, local authorities and relevant departments and branches pay special attention to, support and create conditions for the establishment and development of the organization and activities of the Young Entrepreneurs Association in localities.

Mr. Dang Hong Anh - Chairman of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association - said that the title of Outstanding Young Entrepreneur is an inspiration and motivation for young people to continue to strive and advance in their business careers.

"Please consider the title awarded today as an important motivation to improve yourself every day, become outstanding entrepreneurs, and contribute more to the development of the country's economy," he said.

Within the framework of the award ceremony for the title of Outstanding Young Entrepreneur 2023, in the afternoon of the same day, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association held a discussion with the theme "Learn to lead".

More than 200 guest delegates and speakers exchanged and shared valuable experiences and lessons in production and business and their own entrepreneurial journey, contributing to helping each young entrepreneur stay steadfast on the entrepreneurial path, step by step developing sustainably in the future.
