Vinh Long: Promoting the tradition of solidarity to build a rich and civilized homeland

After the merger, Vinh Long province has an area of 6,296 km², a population of 3.38 million people, of which 373,640 are ethnic minorities, accounting for 11.03% and 1.13 million are religious followers, accounting for 33.4%. This is a favorable condition for the Provincial Fatherland Front to continue to promote its core role, unite, mobilize and gather the strength of the entire nation.

The organizational apparatus of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and member organizations has also quickly stabilized, meeting task requirements and attracting the active participation of all classes of people.

In the 2024-2029 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province has encouraged and motivated people of all walks of life to successfully implement the goals of socio-economic development, new rural construction, sustainable poverty reduction, and ensuring social security.

The Fatherland Front at all levels organized more than 49,800 propaganda sessions, attracting more than 1.2 million participants, contributing to widely spreading the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws to the people. Implementing 121 monitoring contents, 201 social criticism sessions, many opinions and recommendations were recorded and accepted by authorities at all levels.

The people in the province agreed and actively responded to the patriotic emulation movements; "The whole people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas"; "The whole country joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind". The fund for the poor mobilized more than 375 billion VND, supporting the construction and repair of more than 11,500 solidarity houses, helping poor households and those with housing difficulties stabilize their lives.

Attention is paid to ethnic, religious, and people's foreign affairs, contributing to strengthening the people's trust in the Party's leadership and further strengthening the great national unity bloc.

With a high sense of responsibility and democracy, the congress consulted and elected 107 people to join the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province, term 1, 2025-2030; Comrade Kim Ngoc Thai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, was appointed by the Central Party Secretariat to hold the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province.

With the theme "Solidarity, democracy, responsibility, innovation, development", the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Vinh Long province called on all walks of life to continue to promote the tradition and strength of national solidarity, build a rich and civilized homeland, and together with the whole country enter a new era of development, an era of the Vietnamese people's rise.
